December 2014 Painting / Hobby goals!

Oo, Imbrian! One of my current goals is to paint at least one model from every manufacturer I have...

Now that's an idea.  I shall add to my list:

• Paint a miniature from a company that I have not yet painted a mini from.

Of course, I was planning to do that anyway, but setting and meeting another goal will look more impressive.

Hmmm, yes, but at this point I don't need to buy new miniatures.  Between what I have and what should be arriving from various KS campaigns I can keep repeating that goal at least through August.

This month I will focus on flesh tones. I need more practice with humanoid flesh smoothness of transition with my layering and glazes. As always work on pushing my shadows and highlights to the next level.

Amazingly enough, got some sculpting done last night.  Got an Ogre modified to accept a bigger gun (Scorpion's), mounted higher and further back.

December goal is easy (to say, finishing will be harder...).  Finish my diorama for the Giants competition.

 

Oh, and base an Ettin I've had done for a few months.

Including bleed for my hobby last night.  Lesson learned: Do not pin into putty with your bare hands.

For my halfway there update, I've taken care of the kobolds and have put quite a few hours into mini from another company.  I'm mostly on target.

Was too busy the past 2 weekends to get any mini finished.  Last day of work is today till after Christmas. 

Goal: Finish remaining 6 townsfolk

Begin gnomes/dwarves or maybe goblins

I don't want to even think about how many more bones I have to paint.  I have so many left I don't even like opening the box and seeing all those bones.   That's why I'm in no hurry for Bones II

I'm on the hook for two "how to" videos for a couple of CAV. Really hoping I have time for both.

Mixup on the delivery of the Ace level, plus getting double booked at work multiplied by end of year school activities equal zero time to paint. Looks like I'll have some weekend time before everything gets shelved for Christmas. Still hoping for time. That's what I've been asking for Christmas, too. Not sure the family is getting the hint.
