falstius
Definitely killing whatever makes me procrastinate. I'll work on that eventually.
dsmiles
Question 26: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd like to sort out the part of my brain that makes even the thought of interacting with other people so terrifying. I'm with you, though I know what the root cause of mine is.
Werkrobotwerk
Does get rid of the entire body and redesign from the ground up count as one thing? If not then eliminate all allergies.
Mad Jack
Assuming I can't just magically lose about 80 lbs and get my hair back? I think maybe I'd like some kind of ambition - some drive to set goals and not stop until I attain them, to not procrastinate and start things on time, and to see them through to the end instead of getting bored or distracted in the middle and never getting back to them. Unfortunately, I learned at a very young age that you can't always get what you want, and what you have can always be taken away, so I learned to not want anything very badly.
Vil-hatarn
Almost missed the new thread! Definitely allergies for me--I have a mix of seasonal and environmental allergies that basically add up to not being able to breathe properly while sleeping, which in turn means I haven't slept well in five years.
Pingo
Doctor Who FTW. I enjoy them all, but I like the intelligent scriptwriting in Doctor Who which is somewhat lacking in Star Trek and pretty much absent in Star Wars. That's not to say Doctor Who doesn't have plenty of dumb and silly. But in fifty years it has racked up an impressive amount of thoughtful and awesome.
Qwyksilver
If I could change something about myself: I would find a happy medium between borderline compulsive organization and absolute chaos. Most of it is related to my ADHD. I am by default disorganized and flying by the seat of my pants for most of my life, and because I tend to work best under pressure, I wait until the last minute. This causes me and often the family stress as I become a whirling dervish. I am always done, and done successfully, but really that stress is unnecessary. Unfortunately, when I try to become more organized, I tend to overcompensate in the other direction and either micromanage, or hyper focus and get so caught up on the minutae I run out of time and have to resume dervish mode, or become bored and ignore it, and then wait until dervish mode kicks in. I would find that happy medium where I can get work done in a timely manner, without the last minute rush. I'm getting better at it. It only took 40 years, but I'm getting closer. Teaching and children have really helped. Especially the kids. Watching my daughter fall into the same bad habits. It is forcing me to make changes, so she will not follow in my footsteps.
haldir
Q25 Wars all the way. Saw the first one (IV of course! ) so many times in a small town theater I may have worn out the seat. Trek is ok as well too thou. I'm more Shatner crew then anything. The campy style of the TV show rocks! Who I never really got into thou I did like the Tom Baker run. (Like Cash I saw it on PBS) Whatever one you like thou it's good! Q26 Probably either better shape or a better education. Those two things top my list.

CashWiley
LASER BEAMS can help with that.I would avoid that if possible. I had thought about it years ago and my optometrist said if I had, I'd have lost my microscopic close vision (which is weakening anyway). I do like painting 99% of a mini without any magnification (eyes, always the eyes).
dwarvenranger
I would give myself perfect vision without glasses LASER BEAMS can help with that. Unfortunately, due to my genetic disorder I have cracks in my eyes (angioid streaks) that have prevented me from being a candidate for such surgery in the past
FaekiasDracon
If I could change one thing about myself it would be to turn off the self criticism and depression part of my brain, the depression I have pretty well under control for now but I can't stop thinking I can do better at everything. For instance, I still want to go back and retake the SAT, even though it has been 10 years since I left college I am not satisfied that I missed out on those 140 points. Concerning lasick surgery; I have been told by my eye doctor in the past that if I were having trouble seeing that I would be the ideal candidate. It turns out that I have 20/15 vision in my weak eye so it would actually hurt me more than helping me, though I haven't been in a few years so my good eye (the one with the partially paralyzed iris) may now be the bad one.
