I wish I could go.

Anyone want to pitch in for a Kickstarter to send me to ReaperCon. I will use the money to attend, purchase a GoPro and wear it to showcase shenanigans...but for backers' eyes only.

Sadly, I have already lobbied to attend as a virtual presence device, and been told that it's not likely that it would get approved.

I dunno. I'd kick in a few bucks if I thought it'd help Talae get there. The bad part is that two dozen other fine, excellent, and awesome people on the boards, that I wouldn't mind meeting in person, would promptly do the same thing. And if I gave 'em ALL money, I'LL be staying home come Reapercon!

Hell, since there's next to no chance of me making it to Reapercon anytime soon, I'm in on the kickstarter to send people to Reapercon - wouldn't be the first time I paid for somebody else to go to a con, lol.

(One of the guys in my old Rocky cast is... heavy. There was a Rocky convention in Vegas. And they wanted to charge him for an extra seat on the plane, so he wasn't going to go. Since I had a ton of money saved up for spending at the convention, I stood up, peeled off half the price of his ticket from my roll and told him shut up he was going. Period.)

Biggest accomplishment? Having survived being me for 42 years. Hell, I dunno, there isn't a whole hell of a lot that I've done that hasn't been done a billion times before by others who did it better.

I'd echo this (well, not the 42 years just yet). I still feel like my proudest achievement is still to come, but I guess I'm proud of all the little achievements along the way.

Not singling down one accomplishment, but every time I manage to get through a run of a play without needing a prompt. Especially Beyond Reasonable doubt where it would have been easier to highlight everyone elses lines instead as it would have been less work. The script glowed at night.

I also can't think of any one particular crowning accomplishment in my life that I feel deserves to be put on the pedestal of "most proud of." I guess if I'd been able to get my Master's degree, it would have been that. I don't feel like I worked nearly hard enough for my Bachelor's to have really earned it in the same way. My marriage is right up there, but that's not quite what I would classify as a personal accomplishment; it's more of a joint effort.  ^_^

Lots of small things, though. Like how I seem to have a knack for being a listening ear, even when I'm not trying to be. Or how I built a massive tower in Minecraft completely out of wool, glass and glowstone that spans the entire height of the world, with 32 unique levels (it's a small silly thing, perhaps, but it's taught me that I CAN design and build things, when I've always thought I didn't have the ability for it  ^_^ ). Or my latest accomplishment of having one of my painted pieces showcased in Reaper's online store (it's the Male High Wizard), I'm really quite proud of that one. :D Or getting the highest score, out of all three of the classes, on my Government/Econ final in high school, by so much that the teacher had to remove my score from the curve. :)

Really, I just tend to take my pride in my accomplishments in small, frequent doses, since they tend to be little things anyways.  ^_^

Huzzah!

I really don't have one proudest accomplishment, the thing I'm proudest of is my nephews( and I had nothing to do with their creation). I have helped instill a love of science and building in the oldest one, he loves dinosaurs, lego, and figuring out how things work, he got a love of trains from his daddy too.

Looks like I'm buying a round or two at Reapercon for awesome people.

Looks like Doc's getting a lot of drinks then, because I was thinking the same thing.  Having two boys with Aspergers, one with Dislexia thrown in for good measure, I am in awe and gratitude of special ed teachers.  My oldest is pulling mostly A's now in HS and just had his IEP removed as being no longer necessary. He worked very hard to get here and never gave up, but also had a lot of people who wouldn't give up on him when it was rough just 5 to 6 years ago.

You could do it as a ReaperCon documentary.  Probably couldn't film in classes though.

Question 25: Star Wars, Star Trek, or Dr. Who; what's your preference?

I enjoy all three. I prefer Star Wars over the other two, because Lightsabers.

Question 26: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Health problems.

Question 27: What personal accomplishment of yours are you most proud of (kids don't count)?

Working my way through 6 years of college debt free (and finishing).
