Are we counting the prequels for Star Wars? If so then anything but those. If not then I really have no preference among the three. When they are good they will blow your mind, when they aren't; meh, just about covers it (as I said before this is discounting the prequels for Star Wars).

Going to Nerd rage/silliness today.

Question 25: Star Wars, Star Trek, or Dr. Who; what's your preference?

I'd have to say 1) Star Trek, 2) Star Wars, and 3) Dr. Who.

Star Trek inches it out since there is so much MORE of it with all the different shows, I vastly prefer the Star Wars movies (episodes 2-6 - excluding 1 due to Jar-Jar) to the Star Trek movies. I'm just now getting into Dr. Who, but so far it comes in a distant 3rd to the other two.

Star Wars. I have a pic somewhere of me in a Steelers knit cap holding a Darth Vader trading card in the lobby of the theater in 1977. I made my parents take me so many times.

Dr. Who. Grew up with the Tom Baker stuff on PBS. My favorite is probably William Hartnell. Got back into it with Matt Smith (my second favorite), and the new guy is ok. Did not enjoy the first two Docs of the reboot.

Star Trek. Really do not care for it. My favorite is First Contact (iirc, the one where they time travel to the first warp flight), and also the new movies are decent. Dislike all the other movies, and the shows are pretty meh.

I have a distinct preference for Star Trek.  I like star wars some but I think that the expanded universe is weird and mostly not worth the effort (I'm sure I'm out numbered on this, I'm ok with that I also hate GoT).  DR Who is fun and I have thoroughly enjoyed both new who and classic.  its not really serious sci fi but its great story telling.

You'll be relieved to know then that the EU has been officially tossed by Disney...
