I dunno why but the Bounty Hunter/Assassin makes me think of an early 90s anime villain. In a good way.

I tried making him a half orc with various hoods ect and they just didn't work. I gave him a crew cut and an eye patch and he just looks mean..

Digging the Wood Elf Oracle (and, as others have mentioned, the Dwarf Inquisitor is a really cool design) but the flat faces and frankly silly busts on most of Dave's models makes this an easy pass for me, as when it comes to female minis I'm looking more for interesting, well-designed or otherwise novel characters than I am, well... sexual objects   Also, the Executioner with his prop is neat, but feels a bit closer to Logar than I'd prefer.

Still, always good to see more minis/options out there, and for some I'm sure this will be right up their alley. Good luck! :)

I also want Female minis that are interesting, well designed characters.  But I guess that is not what sells because most if not all most all female minis are overly sexualized, as is the art for many female characters before they get made into minis.  But then again so are many other pictures of woman in magazine advertising.

My goodness I sound like a feminist.

Im curious how flat-chested, androgynous looking female miniatures would be received?  Looking at the Dragon Bait females most of them are quite modest in pose and dress - I think they are quite appealing and painted up they look amazing - What constitutes a well designed character is subjective I think, as long as they are not blatant copies of other minis out there, and most of these are quite original.  The half-elf cleric wears a costume which is loosely based on that of a Scythian princess, the wood-elf oracle on ancient Thracian dress, the female witch wears clothing typical of peasant women in 16th century Northern Europe, and the queen and damsel in distress are in stylised Medieval period attire.  No bikini tops or overly huge boobs or bootylicious bums - I suppose the Aztec priestess might be considered somewhat sexualised by having exposed breasts but there are many depictions of male and female nudity from ancient South American cultures so it is not inconsistent.  I must be one of the few gamers that actually appreciates sexy looking female models and is not put off by partial or total nudity.  Looking at many of the Reaper miniatures females I see quite a number that fall into the category of 'super-model in fancy dress costume going to a party' look.  This seems to appeal to many people but it is disappointing to me.  Its that weird compromise where modern ideals of modesty and dress sense are imposed upon ancient or alien cultures to create something that is morally acceptable.  I should design a Gorean range just to stir things up! lol

A lot of people have been pretty excited about Dave being part of the campaign but alas not every model is for everyone.  Thank you for looking at them. As far as Logar I never knew the model existed.  Every executioner has a hood and a big ax. There is no other similarities to include body style, pose, equipment. Even the hood and ax are quite different. I have also included an evil Halfling assistant with similar pot belly and hood waving a pastry. If one executioner is enough for you thats quite fine, but the pieces are pretty different..

My first indiegogo had a female magic user who had a more realistic body type. She will now be known as Fanny to me due to this conversation.

You better bet she is a Feminist. I mean look, that male imp knows she is the boss and she don't need no man, she has her magic wand. ;)

Your miniatures are great fun as are the drawings that inspired them.   I plan to get some from this campaign and some from the first campaign.

Dr Mike is a friend whose drawings are perfect for concept art. He also has a great imagination and his ability to add various jewelry, equipment or clothing to a design is impressive. He designed all the Dark Fable Miniatures which has some fun miniatures along the Egyptian Hollywood theme. I really appreciate your comments and you taking the time to look at the site. A weird secret about Fanny is when me and Mike were designing her we could not decide on a particular pendant for around her neck, and as a stop gap he drew an eight sided die. We then forgot (talk about nerd jewelry) and it stayed.

Well I was going to do him in a blue scheme but now I have to use that.
