Spirit of the Forest & Large Earth Elemental

Recommended Posts

I really like the style you used to paint those two.  It's simple in that the small details are painted similar colors but the depth to the color is amazing.  Thanks so much for sharing!

I still don't understand how you get a table at a Starbucks long enough to get any painting done, I have a hard time finding room to sit and enjoy a pastry.  ^_^

Nice.  The ice I will have to try.  It looks pretty cool.  The snow looks good but a little coarse for stuff thats partially melted, but that's just my opinion.  My snow tends to look like melted marshmallow fluff so take that comment with a grain of salt (which i still use on occasion...)

Good job with the fade and both are remarkable for the time invested.  A mini that size is usually a 15 to 20 hour investment.

Ooh, the Spirit of the Forest looks like he's made of petrified wood with a "You want some of this?!" look in his eyes.

Yawza! Love the palette you chose for the spirit! The eyes are perfection and the transitions you achieved are outstanding. The rock fellow, looks like he just stood up from a nice slumber in a snow bank. The crystal is amazing!

I like this pair. The monochrome effect on the earth elemental is pretty cool and makes the blue crystals stand out. I like the snow effect, and that you didn't cover up the fossil.

The dire crocodile, dire boar, and dire crab were one of the Bones 4 addons, and it doesn't look like they've hit retail just yet. Which is a shame, because we need more giant crabs.

The mud on the dire crocodile's base is just some water effect goo dribbled on that half of the base. The barnacles attached to the rocks on the dire crab's base were sculpted with green stuff. The rocks... those are just rocks.

I'm looking for something to stick Bones, specifically Ma'al Drakar's terrain, to a wooden base. It's not thick enough, at the area I want to place it, to pin effectively.

What kind of adhesives would work? I'm thinking epoxy, maybe? I just /really/ don't want to melt it accidentally and have to buy a new one.

I just like the way the blue/black wings look.  - I did the same with the Librarian Sophie. (last month)
I really need to paint up one of the metal versions for contrast.
I'm not sure what she is serving - Meat, bread and salad is the way I painted it, but that could be cake instead.

Been wanting to paint this one for awhile. Love the dynamic pose! Really happy with this one.

Look at that winning smile!  He wants you to come for dinner....

I am sad to see the paint has rubbed off in some places, might have to try to patch that up by using some Reaper liner.
