fanguad
I was trying to sort mine loosely by colour... taking into my bad eyes, and lack of colour knowledge: I've got more paints than rack space now though, so I need to rethink my process now. What brand of paint racks are those?

fishnjeeps
This is my paint organizer. Currently I only separate by manufacturer or if its metallic. Made of Dollar Store foam board and hot glue. I think there's a build thread for it somewhere...

What do you use to hold up your Dremel? When I bought my Dremel, I purchased it with/in a 200+ piece kit and it was in there. It's basically just a clamp with a hooked telescopic pole on it. A quick Google image Search lets me show you a better view of something similar: http://cdn.instructables.com/FJ4/1EZT/FKB3DTMT/FJ41EZTFKB3DTMT.LARGE.jpg Edited December 16, 2014 by Malynor
Adrift
I use a Kobalt organizer from Lowe's. I know where every color in my palette is and what I want to grab and use when I want to use it. It has sufficient room for brushes, towels, and other little tools I might need. It is easy to take on the go so I can paint wherever I want and easily take my operation on the go. I have 79 Reaper paints; 6 HD paints, and 73 MS paints. Kobalt organizer is to vague. Which one are you using?Very similar to this but I think mine's a bit bigger and the handle is different. But I basically have my paints standing up and three trays in the back open so that I can keep the brushes laying down when they're on the go with me. Because of this set up I can easily just pack up and go in 2 minutes or less. Packing for Reapercon is just as simple as packing to go to paint at Starbucks. http://m.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-17.7-in-W-x-4.27-in-D-Black-Plastic-Bin/4480615 Thanks, I haven't seen that version but then I'm usually over in the tool boxes and sometimes Lowe's has odd thoughts on how to organize things. I bascially like my set up to be as mobile ready as possible so I can literally just pack up in 2 minutes and take my painting operation with me wherever I go.
lexomatic
I definitely need a setup. I have no dedicated space at the moment. Current storage is in one of those plastic drawers. Some of my stuff that wasn't used often was in tupperwares. I discovered this past weekend that my slow-dri and flow-improver both got jostled and spilled everywhere in the container they were stored in. The end result was that 2 bottles of mediums (fluorescent and crackle) were ruined, and all my extra duplicate bottles of MSP from the LTPKs were ruined. Sigh. I'm currently looking for a replacement storage for my non-reaper-sized bottles that is a) not too big, and b) allows these to stand upright and minimize spills. I will be keeping an eye on this thread for ideas.

Adept Legacy
Well. I always knew this day would come. *uncomfortable long pause* Dropper bottles, inside one very big scrapbooking box, all standing on end. And the mysterious three, three vallejo professional metallics that you can only use with alcohol. *couldn't find a copper or aluminum I liked more* It hasn't quite gotten to the unmanageable scale yet, so I have them group together by types. Metallics, Neons, Pasty pale skin tones, core colours, and finally, 50 shades of brown. (Oak Brown, Walnut Brown, Leather Brown, Other Leather Brown, Other Other leather brown, Hammerfall Khaki, Actual brown, Army Camo brown, other camo green-brown.....) I have a problem... and it can only be solved with more cowbell shades of brown.

uncas
I currently have most of my paints all jumbled together in a plastic Artbin case. I was intending to buy foam inserts for it from Outrider Hobbies, as it's pretty much the same as the large Reaper Bones Kickstarter cases, but Outrider doesn't really seem responsive, so I'm going to either make my own foam trays, or I'll switch to a paint rack and repurpose the case. Organize my what now? Aside from using rubber bands to keep triads together, my system is haphazard at best. (Similar color tend to be kind of near each other, but it is not at all consistent.) That's a great idea! I'm going to start using rubber bands like that until I can get my act together and find some other method that I like. ShadowRaven
Outrider has been...problematic for some time now. There was a largish thread about that a year or so ago
MonkeySloth
My paints are thrown and scattered all over my table. I gave up on organizing them once I hit like 60 bottles. I just have a heap-o-paint that I haven't even looked through in a year.

If you talk to Phil Esterle (pae here; a former Reaper painter), he'll tell you that he only paints with brown: earth brown, wood brown, leather brown, sky brown, fire brown, leaf brown, snow brown, ....
