As the title says, this thread is all about Kingdom Deaths plastic pin-up set.   With Twilight Knight and Forsaker already finished, meet the remaining girls:-     Since I don't batch-paint ver

Though looking at these piccys, I think her right leg needs a bit of work.

Any ways, I reclaimed the basecoat, then added a drop of Yellowed Bone (it was supposed to be Linen White, but I grabbed the wrong bottle) for a few highlights, then a drop of Splattered Crimson to paint her lips.

Next up (after I work on her leg), painting a red bikini.

Kingdom Death Miniatures!!!   I love these female miniature figures (especially with my love of female miniatures)...but alas...just way to expensive for my pocket book...in checking around at varied internet sites...I found the prices ranging (on ebay) from $60.00 to $195.00 per figure. That is way out of my price range since if I ever got one...I would not be satisfied and would want to get more!

I envy the members who have a collection of these fantastic female miniatures!

Catdancer, the plastics shown here are $100 for a box of 8 and usually in stock. Black Friday there was a deal for $50 for the box, I was very tempted to buy a second, that was an insane deal.

The resins...yeah. They sell out quick and the females command top dollar on ebay.

Nicw skin tone.

Just back to the hunter and her knees, if the boots are seperate pieces, having a close look at your photo I think they may be on the wrong feet, the left foot should probably be angled back with the heel raised a bit is how I see it should be.

I could be wrong too.

Thanks.

She is assembled right, I checked the official studio version just to be sure:-

Her leg doesn't look so weird from that angle either.

Am curious too know what you washed the figures in after assembling them?

They're undercoated with Vallejo White Primer and washed with Army Painter Strong Tone (Brown) Wash.

Progress!

Tidied up her leg.

Painted her hair, which I think turned out quite good. Its Vallejo Hexed Lichen washed with black, I went back over it with the Hexed Lichen again and then gave it a few 1:1 Hexed Lichen/Linen White highlights.

Also painted her bikini, not so pleased with this part, I think it needs something extra. At the moment its based in Splattered Crimson, highlighted with Fresh Blood and then I applied some thinned Splattered Crimson to blend it together. I've decided to paint her sock in the same colours so I'll give it some thought then.

At least I didn't make as much mess painting her bikini strings as I thought I would.

Separating a bee from its honey is always a risky prospect, but especially when they are giant, man-eating Titan Bees.
However, when smeared with a concoction made with the pulped remains of it's larva, a person is temporarily rendered virtually invisible to the Bees. And so the Bug Thief started a thriving business stealing bee babies to make into potions, but how did she survive going into the hive in the first place? That's a mystery to be solved another day.

Had a lot of fun painting this one, her bee striped fur thingy didn't come out like I hoped (and she's stuck with rather wonky eyes) but I think she ended up looking fairly decent overall.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

This is a Patrick Keith sculpt  from the Warlord range and I have loved it since it came out years ago.  She would be a really cool player character, I don't know why we don't see her more often.  Great dynamic movement with this one.  Anyway, I threw some color on her, so maybe she'll end up on the table one day.

I painted her up as a fun project. Let me know what you think.

I am trying to improve my painting abilities.

The purple marking on her thigh was supposed to be a skull tattoo, it didn't really work as well as I had hoped.

While the title may sound like a part of a weird children's book series, it's actually a trio of Kingdom Death Pin-ups!

The Bug Thief, her right arm goes across her face so I've left it off for now.

The Swamp Girl. I have to paint her base, paint her and then sandwich the clear bit in between without making a mess.

The Dogpole Mother, the hard part will be painting the Dogpoles so that they actually look like something!

      Starting with the Bug Thief:-

Painted her face and boobs (Rosy Flesh > Flesh Wash > Rosy Flesh > Rosy Flesh/Light Flesh), added a touch of Scarlett Red to the final highlight for her lips and painted her eyes (The left one is a bit buggy, but I'm hoping it'll look better once I paint her hair).
