I might be having some trouble seeing the ReaperCon website.

 

I'm on a third-gen ipad with Safari, and all I can see is the home page and the sign-in page. Clicking on anything else gets me a blank page with the header on it.

 

Do I need to be signed in to see the rest of the site?

Just had a look on my Surface 2, and about the only thing I saw properly was the contest pages. Tried to register to see if the signing in fixed the issue, but it went nowhere.

 

Do went down to the PC and saw exactly the same as the tablet. So I think things are consistent. Maybe they are in between having it set up for last years and this?

The on-going reference stuff is there - past contest winners and the Hall of Famers (though that looks like it needs to have the 2014 inductees added.) 

 

The other tabs all relate to 2015 RC, and most of that is still in flux. They left the framework of the site as it was rather than remaking all of that, and I expect they'll fill in the information once they feel ready to. Reaper peeps are working on RC stuff (Anne's already talked to artists about classes and such), but it's a bit of a thing to organize, and getting more so every year. It's also not the only thing anyone working on this does.

 

I get why people want to know now and start planning everything out that they want to do, but the reality is that you probably shouldn't expect info to start going up until January or possibly February.

 

There is a lot of info in this forum on general activities, costs, what's near the hotel and so on, so it should be pretty possible to get a good general idea of what to expect if you've never been before, and what kinds of costs to budget for and so on. (Forum topic viewing defaults to the last 30 days. If you hit the Custom option on the red bar above the forum topics, you can reset that to a longer time period, and find plenty of threads with questions and answers about ReaperCon.)

I think it was more concern that when one went to a page, nothing was there. A "No 2015 information yet" sign might be useful. That'll let people know that the page at least loaded correctly and they aren't missing out on some vital info.

The site is something I will be spending a significant amount of time updating beginning tomorrow.  

 

We are aware that many pages load nothing, and this is intentional until there is specific data to load.

A reminder that we are serious about entry deadlines. If you are at least in the line on Friday at 6pm your entry will make it in. We will place a volunteer at the end of that line promptly at 6pm so there will be and end to that line. No exceptions, possible disintegrations.

 

To enter on Saturday (by noon) you must be a Saturday only attendee. If you have a full weekend pass you are not eligible to enter anything on Saturday, period, end of story.

The Friday night line was lengthy so at some point we had to cut it off (remember enter early!) and enough people at least asked about entering on Saturday to tick of Debbie (bad idea). A number of them tried anyway.

When are discount codes for the hotel likely to come up? I'm starting to book flights and accommodation now, is it worth me waiting until they go up?

They should go up on or near the 15th, but if you call the reservation in and tell them it's for Reaper Miniatures or ReaperCon you can get the rate now. 

 

It's $108 for Wednesday night, but $80 a night for Thurs Night-Sun Night.

Thanks Bryan - great price for the majority of nights.  Any idea why Wednesday is so much more?  It isn't horrible, just curious.

Probably higher demand from their regular business traveller customers.
