I'll have a rental car.  I'm taking the Melons clan wednesday, but I should have room for one more!

Has anybody filled this slot? Is it for a ride to the meet & greet?

If it's still available: Dibs! Diiiiibs!!!!!

It depends- I'm taking 2 Melons and Nomad Zeke in an economy car that claims it has 5 seats, but it might be tight.  I'll let the party take a vote and let me know what they think!  I usually drive a Camry so I do not have much experience with rental car sizes.

'Economy' cars are the smaller end of the spectrum.  Something like a Ford Focus would fit in that category.  Your Camry would fit into the next size up: 'Midsize'

Just my opinion, but I imagine you'll have a hard time fitting 5 adults into an economy car unless they're all petite (or don't mind being squished together).

people may not be the issue...  getting all the luggage in....

Luggage shouldn't be as much of a problem for the M&G.

Did OneBoot rent a car? It looks Like NoZ was considering a seat in her car as well as Corporea's.

Update: I now have a car rental booked! It will be a Dodge Avenger or similar, and seats 5. PM me if you need a ride to an event (I'm going to all of them, including the Wednesday M&G), or else look for the lady with the longish brown hair and glasses wearing the hat pictured in my avatar. ^_^

I'm actually kinda nervous about this, I've never rented a car before!

Oh rental cars can be daunting especially as the rental company will try to sell you lots of stuff. But you should be fine.

Here are a few tips to consider about your car rental. Check your own insurance coverage chances are it extends to a rental car but if it doesn't you will want to add insurance.

Read the fine print on their insurance typically it only covers their car so if you are at fault your personal insurance will need to cover the other car, property and medical bills. Unless you added a liability clause which is usually at another fee and not always offered unless you ask.

Always walk around the car before leaving and be certain it doesn't have any damage prior to pulling away. Don't forget to look at the interior as well for damage.

Hope some of this helps.

Good advice. Your credit card might also offer insurance on a rental. I do not remember if it was my insurance or my credit card that said that I had to decline the rental company's insurance for their's to be valid.
