I have decided that in addition to painting Yephima, I shall enter attempt to enter a non-Reaper entry as well ^_^ I even started putting it together this weekend. I figure, hey, it's on my desk, reminding me, and I have a whole year. Decent chance I'll finish it.

I hope

Glitter (http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/glitter/latest/03264 ) too small?

I have a diorama idea that I think would really work well with him....

How tall is it? Looks - just by eyeballing - that it's probably 35-40mm in height?

To top of  the head, around 36-38. Top of the wings, around 50. Wingspan around 60. Hard to measure exactly as he's unassembled.

Thornwood Defender is big enough, right?

What would be the ruling on swapping a rider on something like that?  Does the rider have to be Reaper?

The the figure doesn't have a rider to begin with (like Wyrmgear) then adding a non-Reaper rider is fine, yes?

Just working on ideas...have to get started in February to stay on track.

Yeah, with that height/wingspan both being 50+ it should be the 40mm-99mm range IMHO.

Looks to me like Glitter just barely crosses 40mm in height at the tips of the wings, so is technically legal. However, I will point out that it looks like it's about the same size, or possibly even smaller than, the Bones Young Fire Dragon, which has been explicitly disallowed in previous years.

Previous years were 50mm minimum. This is a new category for 40mm to 99mm so it may be allowed now.

Anyone know the wingspan on Narthrax?  Now that I know the KS is shipping soon I may go that route instead for this concept.  Gonna be a "bit" bigger if I do though....

I'd PM Michael Proctor (Clever Crow) since he's painted up 2 of them an amazing red version and a stunning blue version. I did a search back 2 years to see if anyone mentioned actual dimensions and found no mention of them.

I Folks!

I got another question concerning the Diorama Category.

I understand that the the principle figure must be a big one and must be a Reaper figure. Is there resculpting/kitbashing allowed? (This question is for my wife.)

Also, I'm going to include several large figures, at least one of which is going to be a non-Reaper figure. Does this present a problem?

For the diorama entry, the majority of figures should be Reaper but having a non-reaper figure in the diorama won't disqualify you from that category.  As far as resculpting/kitbashing I think as long as it is still recognizable as a Reaper figure its fine.  I'll let the more experienced contest runners chime in too.
