Another length question, if anyone still lingers here... 

 

I've got these two angels I want to enter into single category. From foot to head, she measures a bit over 1.5 inches, but she has a raised arm with a sword that extends her height to a good 3 inches, plus her wingspan is twice the length of her body so there's 3 inches there, would she be eligible for 40mm-99mm? The other one is tall from the bottom of her dress to her head at 3 inches already and her wingspan as well spans to 3 inches. 

 

o_o lots of the models I'm already seeing are obviously in the giant class at 75mm+. Just double checking if I can enter them. 

 

They should still fit the 40-99mm category.  I'm assuming their bases are still in the 40mm range?

One is on a 40mm base, the other, I modded to fit a normal 25mm one. She's super top heavy but is muuuuuch taller than the one on the 40mm base. @_@ I don't mind only entering one if the one based on a tiny one is no good. Thanks for the speedy reply too, Samuraijack.

I put mine in, and no one said anything. Pretty sure it's fine as long as it meets the minimum size requirements!

Hey, has there been any news on prize support for the non-Reaper category? I assume not at this point, but the OP still says it's a possibility.

I think I had a couple offers from people to submit cash for the prizes, but I have to go back and check.. There will be prizes, I just don't know how much yet.

I am guessing that this is an annual thing, the online painting challenges?

 

I am just wondering if maybe next year we could have some player character size challenges?

By this I mean the size figure that comprises the bulk of miniatures out there, Humans, elves, dwarves etc

 

Maybe a humanoid competition as well? For all of those poor mis understood Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins etc out there that need some love?

There are usually several contests a year. I think there were three others earlier this year, not including this one. It's just someone has to manage it, keep up with it, make the rules, contact reaper to see if they'll offer a prize and etc. Monkeysloth has done a few but is taking a break for awhile. The year long ones like this are for BIG projects normally.

...plus a LOT of the regular contests are for humanoid figures... this was an odd-ball that started with the Dragons' theme the previous year, and just kept going. The idea is to challenge people to get painting the big guys too.
