Ravenbow
That is... a lot of paint. Thank god it comes in a carrier! I hope it arrives in good condition! We've had a brutal cold snap here the last few weeks... Here too honestly. I live in Minnesota. I got home from what is normally a 15-20 minute commute after over two hours here in Minneapolis because of the blizzard/whiteout which hit our chilly state. My paint was waiting for me when I got home but it was partially frozen. Let's call it 'slush'. I was ready to cry. The shear amount of money sitting there potentially ruined.... I was beside myself with grief last night. It has been thawing all day while I am at work and with the assistance of Reapers' incredible Customer Service department, I have a plan in place on how to test and document what is salvageable and what I should get replaced. I have my work cut out for me testing that many paints. I am hoping for the best. Hey... I won't be bored.
Doug Sundseth
Hey... I won't be bored. I don't know about you, but I don't have to be idle to be bored. Good luck.
Matbar
Do you take anything to PAX that is limited edition? Paints or minis either one? I have a co-worker going to PAX and may send her with some cash if so :-)

Reaperbryan
Every year we get 1-2 people whose paint freezes and we need to work with them to fix it. We have given a lot of thought how to prevent this, but so far haven't found any workable shipping solutions that make it viable, so in the meantime, we're just replacing everything that's gone bad. Moderator OneBoot Posted January 9, 2015 Moderator Share Posted January 9, 2015 I was going to post a Pledge Manager related question here, but realized that sending a message to the help email would probably be easier for you. :) Huzzah for the Bones containers making landfall sooner than expected!!! I'm just relieved they made it here safely; my vivid, overactive imagination was picturing all the terrible calamitous things that could happen to the ship that would result in several shipping containers of Bones ending up on the bottom of the ocean. I'm so very glad none of them came to pass! I am sad that there will be no more Adventures of Sir Forscale; they were always great fun to read, and had me laughing out loud several times! It was also a lot of fun to see so many of the figures individually, and to pull my Sir Forscale out, hold him up to the screen, and squee over how big the BIG minis are! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

Oh no!!!!!!!!! That's awful, especially with that much paint! I hope you're able to recover at least some, and yes, Reaper's customer service is pretty amazing! Best of luck to you! Moderator OneBoot Posted January 9, 2015 Moderator Share Posted January 9, 2015 You know that if that did happen they could probably fund an expeditionary force in less than an hour to recover it? I figured they'd give you five bucks and a cup of coffee to go Force-lift them out. Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

Sadly, the risk of freezing paint is the main reason why I'm hesitant to participate in Twelve Days of Reaper events. If I'm there the day the package arrives, no problem. If I'm not, then Canadian winters might get the best of me. Especially if Canada Post makes community mailboxes that are exposed to the elements.
Reaperbryan
I am sad that there will be no more Adventures of Sir Forscale; they were always great fun to read, and had me laughing out loud several times! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D The truth is Anne invented the Adventures of Sir Forscale when she was helping me pick out minis for Art Updates, because after so many months of these kinds of updates, I was becoming bored with them. Bear in mind, where for you a given update was the first time many of you even saw a certain mini, for me they had been in my office for 6-10 months and were in my way as much as anything. The entire Saga existed to keep me entertained while I was posting Updates, and to a lesser extent, to keep the audience form getting grumbly as time stretched on to (apparent) infinity. Now that I have a huge amount of facts to give out (I mean, there's a decent chance that the "promised" Jan 30 Update will be pre-empted by shipping notification and the various necessary instructions) I don't need such filler. So there you have a little more behind the curtain. I do know that if we ever do a Bones III Sir F will have a whole new adventure!
