Reaperbryan
...not by the gallon. We bring those paint cases with the 36 slots and you can fill it for a discounted price with your own selection of colors. Or you can fill the empty 25 sockets in a LTPK for a discounted price. Take a swatch of Carnival Purple to the Home Depot. Color match it. Don't tell us you did, because the forumla is a secret. Doug Sundseth
There goes my dream of painting my office carnival purple. :(Our paint might not be ideal as a house paint.Take a swatch of Carnival Purple to the Home Depot. Color match it.Don't tell us you did, because the forumla's a secret. You can't copyright the color. You can probably trademark the name "Carnival Purple" to refer to that specific color as produced by Reaper. But the color itself can't be trademarked. You might be able to patent the specific mixture of ingredients (assuming no applicable prior art), but any other combination resulting in the same color would not be a violation of the patent. And trade secret law prevents the unauthorized disclosure of business secrets, but not reverse engineering (which is what color matching does). So, to my non-lawyerly eyes it looks like Reaper has no IP that would be affected by color matching. (Not legal advice. Talk to a lawyer if you want legal advice.) But it might be kind of rude to tell Reaper that you color-matched one of their paints (given that Bryan said not to tell them). And he did tell you how, after all.
Baphomet69
I am sad that there will be no more Adventures of Sir Forscale; they were always great fun to read, and had me laughing out loud several times! It was also a lot of fun to see so many of the figures individually, and to pull my Sir Forscale out, hold him up to the screen, and squee over how big the BIG minis are! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D The truth is Anne invented the Adventures of Sir Forscale when she was helping me pick out minis for Art Updates, because after so many months of these kinds of updates, I was becoming bored with them. Bear in mind, where for you a given update was the first time many of you even saw a certain mini, for me they had been in my office for 6-10 months and were in my way as much as anything. The entire Saga existed to keep me entertained while I was posting Updates, and to a lesser extent, to keep the audience form getting grumbly as time stretched on to (apparent) infinity. Now that I have a huge amount of facts to give out (I mean, there's a decent chance that the "promised" Jan 30 Update will be pre-empted by shipping notification and the various necessary instructions) I don't need such filler. So there you have a little more behind the curtain. I do know that when we do Bones III next month Sir F will have a whole new adventure! kristof65
Every year we get 1-2 people whose paint freezes and we need to work with them to fix it. We have given a lot of thought how to prevent this, but so far haven't found any workable shipping solutions that make it viable, so in the meantime, we're just replacing everything that's gone bad. Reaper Coolers. At least for the big paint sets. Pack the paint in big coolers with Sophie on them during the winter months. Sure, we'd have to pay a little more, but we'd also get a cool Reaper Sophie cooler to take tailgating or to the beach or camping. Wait...do other gamers actually get outside and do that stuff?
