etherial
I wonder at what point the cost of warehousing actually exceeds the cost of splitting the shipments. I was looking at my Bones I box and it's an unusual size. What would the cost have been to ship the Vampire box separately from all the add-ons. This is all assuming that the boxes actually come with all of the individual minis pre-packed, which might be a good bet for things like Dragons Don't Share but maybe not for things like the Core Set and the Expansions. I don't think there was a lot of choice in splitting the shipments. How the factory produces the minis is probably out of Reaper's Control. And part of the reason the add-ons were setup the way they were was to ease the pulling and shipping of the orders. In Bones I they didn't have to put together the contents of the vampire boxes that was done at the factory. From the way Bryan has described it they have made pulling and shipping the orders to us as efficiently as possible.
MarkA
I wish I was close enough to pick up my minis. Oh the other hand I don't wish that, because I like living where it's green all year round and has nice mild weather (most of the time). Texas just sounds like one of the layers of the hells to me. Texas is really big and is home to diverse climates. It's not just desert. There is NO desert anywhere close to me. It is very green here; we average around 61 inches of rain per year. Last year we had ZERO days above 100 and 2 days below freezing (it was only 31 degrees those days). I'll never live in the northeast again.
dwarvenranger
I was stationed in Corpus Christi for 4 and 1/2 years. The people were nice (albeit poor drivers) but the climate was lousy. The only good thing was the spectacular thunderstorms in the spring. Oh and the snow for Christmas 2004. Everything was brown, brown, brown until you drove up into the hill country. It was fairly decent there. Nothing as nice as the Eastern US mind you, but livable.
Reaperbryan
I'm thinking this primer conversation needs to be split into a separate discussion.

Thes Hunter
It's just Evil Halfling we all have to be jealous of! But as his reward for finishing 'early' he got a whole 'nother Vampire box to paint.

But as his reward for finishing 'early' he got a whole 'nother Vampire box to paint. That's hilarious. I'd probably have a nervous breakdown. ...but a few hours later, I'd probably get back to painting them. ...maybe better than the ones I already did.
