77034 Kieran Tallowmire Wizard speed paint

That's a speed paint?

... where do I turn in my brushes?

That's what I was thinking, too.

Great job!

Whattt? That's an amazing speed paint. And that's with knowledge of Five Tribes taking at most 2 hours to play with full players including rules explanation. *stares at 2 hour cloak on archer*

Oops. I don't know if she painted it in two hours, I just took a wild guess with experience from playing the game. >_>

Thanks everyone for all the comments, I love reading them. But no snapping brushes ;) since bones released I have been trying to wrap my head around painting faster and not fussing with them as much. And thanks to fellow forum members I have learned to let go a bit and paint them faster.

Recently I have been attempting to push my metal and resin figures to a faster standard but haven't suceeded much with that. I can easily spend 15-20 hours on a mini and still be unhappy with the end result so speed painting can be satisfying every once in awhile. Although I still have the urge to go back and add to them, but often resist it, and am just happy I finished one.

You were right I posted in my first post a little over 2 hours. I have played Five tribes before but two of the players had not so it moves a bit slower. Although I usually pay attention to what other players do on their turns I did not have that luxury while painting so I was genuinely surprised to win.

Glad to see others playing Five Tribes do you like it? I do so far but playing with four seems to be the most fun.

Wow..I glimpsed over that. I enjoyed it with four players. There are higher chances of turn disruption. I like the simplicity of the rules with the various strategies to win. I've played the game three times with different people each time and enjoyed each play. I haven't won yet. XD

Never painted fully white mini before.
This was extra fun and easy!

Red and White Wizard.  Now I kinda want to do every color combo wizard.

I haven't been painting much Reaper lately, but painted up this beastie for Jimmy The Brush's July community challenge.

For your consideration I present my take on the Wizard’s Workshop. This piece was created in response to a challenge issued by a Twitch streamer that I follow. The challenge was themed Fatherly for Fathers Day 2020. I spent several hours searching for the right model until I came across this piece. Inspired by Alexi Z’s example on the Reaper website I decided to try OSL for the first time. (Using an airbrush is almost cheating lol) I wanted to find a unique base for this project and settled on the Shattered Ritual 100mm base by Secret Weapon Miniatures. In addition to the Wizard’s Workshop I also added 77318: Bookshelf, 77248: Crates (Large and Small) (2) and 77249: Large Barrel Small Barrel to the scene

The Glowing effect was created by adding LIT Green Glow Pigment by Culture Hustle and mixing it with the acrylic paint and applying it with the airbrush. C&C welcome

I painted most of these figures quickly or experiment when I did so. The exception is the reaper figure. I didn't really paint his face with too much detail, you can't see it due to the hat and what I did paint is sufficient (white eyes, basic colour variation on skin).

      Lords

      Duelists
They look better in person (I swear, the light makes the skin look washed out more than it is, plus the hair has darker shadows.)

Feedback and Critiques are welcome and appreciated.

This is my first mini painting, just finished it tonight. I have a lot to learn, especially the correct way to dry brush. But I followed a Reaper paint kit on the steps for their minis and this is what I came up with.

Once I get the hang of the minis themselves I'd like to learn to make custom bases, this one just looks awful as is.

For some reason I can't get the picture to show the color true either, it's a much more grayish blue than this bright color that is shown.

All in all, I'm pleased with its turn out.
