77164 - Elliwyn Heatherlark, Gnome Bard

Elliwyn is my entry into the "Little People" Bones Beauty Pagent.  I started her at the January meeting of NEMPA and finished her today.  (I spent far too long on her for such a silly paint job.)  I originally picked the colors to torment Qwyksilver, who was waxing poetic about color wheels at the time.  I also originally tried to give her blue skin by mixing the hair color with a skin color, but it just looked too weird, so I painted over it - but not fully, as you can see - for an interesting effect.  I mostly dug around in my paint collection for the brightest colors I had.  The hair is Surf Aqua, tunic is Breast Cancer Awareness Pink, gloves and shoes are Jade Green (originally Alien Goo, but it was too bright).  Shield is VGC Warlord Purple + Red Ink.

Haha, you guys are making me look bad! I've been "working" on Cassie since the beginning of Jan! I'm trying not to get too crazy on mine, even though I read that gnomes are pretty bright and colorful with varying skin tones so I doubt it's impossible to go to crazy. Great job on Elliwyn!

Here are two little guys for the new year: Bones vege-(or vegy-)pygmies, sculpted by Kevin Williams.
In the game lore, they are plant creatures arising from infestations of russet mold, so I wanted to incorporate rusty orange- and red-browns with the green.
(And if you're still in the holiday spirit, you can sing a rousing round of "Rusty the Moldman".)
I spent about 2-3 hours on each.
It was fun to play with a few oranges, reds, and purples, along with the greens.
I thought about adding foliage or other material on the bases, but decided to call these two done for now.
      Enjoy!
      - Derek

As you continue exploring the cathacomb, you catch sight of a ghastly humanoid creature walk in your direction. The stench of death and rot lingered around its undead forms. You recognize with horror, a minion of the dark necromancer queen Kiaransalee. This is a 77159, Ghast sculpted by James Van Schaik.

      Hi chums!

This is the latest Kickstarter project, expanding our fantasy range this time, and bringing light to the ones we have that might not have been noticed. Along with some super cool female minis, we have some brand new scenics too, and a whole bunch of add on bundles.
I'll post more on the lead up, but for now if you're interested, could you click the "notify me" on the pre launch page and it will help the algorithms, and you know algorithms are the new gods!

Well, finally painted him - and I'm pretty satisfied. I heavily borrowed/copied from this post: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/84520-77594-solar-angel/#comment-1788530,

It went better than I expected.

My first, and hopefully not only, mini completed in 2022!

Gabby, here, is a perfect sculpt for one of my favorite NPCs. I absolutely love Christine’s absurdly characterful, nicely detailed sculpts.

Hyacinth “Cindy” Dabblethwaite is the middle child of the halfling family behind Dabblethwaite’s Fine Teas, and the champion of the underground bare knuckle fight ring her otherwise very proper family runs in the cellars of their tea house.
