Artists Wren Posted January 30, 2015 Artists Share Posted January 30, 2015 Some of these folks are not big forum posters, but are names you might know from elsewhere in the hobby if matched up with their nom de brush/tool. Perhaps we'll be able to collectively compile a list of names you might otherwise know people by to help with that.
Dai-Mongar
Definitely recognize the names of a lot of sculptors there, but I'm a bit hazy on most of them tbh.
Kangaroorex
Just absolutely awesome! It's great to be able to talk with them! I'm so looking forward to going again!
naponatom
So sad that I won´t be there this year. I swear I am playing the lottery every week to get to go there one more time (or each year if I hit the Jackpot).

CashWiley
Nice, congrats Corporea! I had a feeling that was going to happen after her big showing in the contest and the fact that she basically ran classes all day at her table anyway. Apparently keep the kids away from Proctor this year...
Moderator TaleSpinner Posted January 30, 2015 Moderator Share Posted January 30, 2015 I presume her "Heavy Metal" nick name refers to the weight of the medals she had to carry out last year.

Artists Wren Posted January 30, 2015 Artists Share Posted January 30, 2015 Alison Bailey is Jubilee on the forums, painter. She also goes by the nom de brush Golden Goose Miniatures. You can see her work in the Reaper gallery, and also on her blog. http://goldengooseminiatures.com/ I'm pretty sure Anne Becker is Anne Foerster, aka Vaitalla on the forums, aka the woman who makes all the wonderful paint for us, aka a great painter in her own right. Izzy Collier is the concept artist also known as Talin. She has some of her work posted on her Facebook artist page. Also if you hit the Resources tab on the main Reaper page and select the Wallpaper option, you'll see lots of her drawings. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Art-of-Izzy-Talin-Collier/1388784654693315?fref=ts Jennifer Greenwald is Jen on the forums, painter. She taught some classes at ArtistCon, including one on painting modern era figures. She has a painting blog - http://minipainterjen.blogspot.com/ Aaron Lovejoy is olliekickflip on the forums, painter. He wrote a tutorial post that people really found helpful, but I am failing to find it at the moment. http://www.guildpainting.com/ I am blanking on Noel Meyer's nom de brush. She has attended many ReaperCons in the past (previous attendees might remember her for her nifty steampunk wheelchair), and taught classes. She's a painter (and 2D, as well). You can see examples of her work on the Reaper site and here - http://noelmeyer.com/ Joe Orteza is pretty well known on the Games Workshop side of the hobby, and is a Golden Demon winner. He is a painter, but also does a lot of sculpting and converting in his work, and has taught sculpting classes at Gen Con for many years. You can see examples of his work at - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Joe-Orteza-Art/179918452065367 I'm not 100% sure I'm correct about this one. I think Glen Phillips is a Dallas painter who is better known in historical painting circles. He is a member of the Dallas historical painters group that usually has a desk at ReaperCon. His pieces have won awards at several past ReaperCons, so you can find some examples of his work looking over the galleries at https://reapercon.com/ Jessica Rich is Brushmistress on these forums and elsewhere on the web. She is the staff painter for Dark Sword Miniatures, so you can see a lot of examples of her work on their site. http://www.brushmistress.com/ Shannon Stiltz is a painter, and having worked at Reaper, also knows a lot about miniatures manufacture. (I think I know her forum name, but I'm not 100% sure so I'm going to see if Bryan posts that, or has a link to a gallery page or such.) James Wappel is Wappellious on the forums and CMON. He is a painter. While not a pro sculptor, he is also known for doing a lot of elaborately constructed bases. He has a lot of pictures up on his blog. http://wappellious.blogspot.com/ Kev White is the sculptor for Hasslefree Minis, and you can see lots of pictures of his work there. He's also done work for a lot of other companies, including Reaper. Kevin Williams is Reaper's in-house sculptor. I am not sure if he's on the forums, but you can find his work on the main Reaper webpage. He specializes in monsters and creepy crawlies. He taught the class at ArtistCon where people recombined pieces of Cthulhu and other big Bones baddies into even badder baddies.I'm pretty sure Tish Wolter is on the forums, but I do not know her name. She has painted for Reaper in the past, and you can see her gallery of work for them here - http://www.reapermini.com/InspirationGallery/Tish%20Wolter/latest/
ShadowRaven
Sharknado is Shannon's Favorite movie. Trust me, this does not offend her! never would have pegged her for a 'bad movie buff'
Moderator TaleSpinner Posted January 30, 2015 Moderator Share Posted January 30, 2015 List updated, thanks Rhonda! There are a couple in your list that I really didn't realize they were on here who they are in RL. Awesome. One comment on Noel, she painted what is today still one of my favorite art pieces in her ghostly summons coffee. It is an awesome piece.
