haldir
As the title says!! Just wanted to post on how great it is to see so many posts in this & the Playing sections of the board. I've been around these section so long that I've felt like changing my title to Keeper of the Games. While of course you come to the Reaper forums for painting & sculpting, it's just nice to see that there is nice following of games to be played on here as well. Keep it up!! prophetic_joe
Would be sweet to get involved. Haven't seen anything before recruitment is already done or taken a really far swing. Definitely interested in gaming with you folks though.
Flamehawke
You can ask one of us. Some of us might be bale to make room or have room for other reasons if you want in. Or jsut let people know you would be interested if a player drops.
prophetic_joe
I'll jump in any Dungeons and Dragons game at any time. I am a 3.5 player mostly but I have experience with basic, advanced and second edition and I have the books for 5th. If anyone wants an additional player just let me know I am down.
KoiPwned
I also tend to play 3.5 and would love to play a game if someone else ran it. I'd run one myself, but I don't have time right now. Maybe a summer game...
Colonel Kane
I tend to run OSR games. I don't have anything running or even ready at the minute though. I am debating as to try something slightly different, but hey time has to free up first.
Kangaroorex
I want some more experience as a player before I take on a run. But if I do decide to run, there is a full copy of the heroes of the lance for 3.5 that I have always wanted to play sitting on my shelf, calling to me...
SparksMurphey
I'm tempted to set up a Shadowrun game here, though I'm aware that it would be difficult to make sure players all had access to the book since it's not free and there's no easily accessible SRD for it like there is for many games. Eclipse Phase might work too, though. In any case, like Kangaroorex, I want to get some more PbP experience under my belt first before I give it a whirl.

KoiPwned
What system is it, Knight? EDIT: Allow me to refine my question. I read your introduction to it. Is it all just generally conceptual, or are you using a specific system? Edited February 17, 2015 by KoiPwned
Dilvish the Deliverer
What system is it, Knight? EDIT: Allow me to refine my question. I read your introduction to it. Is it all just generally conceptual, or are you using a specific system? As LK is underway, I'll tell you what I know. He is using a system; one of the Old Box revivals (original red box remake). Somewhere in the thread he says which one it is, and that he has house ruled it. However, as players, it is effectively conceptual. We don't make any rolls (either for combat or character generation). We give LK a synopsis of our character (Chance is shepherd/farmer that learned to shoot a bow and fight from a passing soldier that wintered in the hamlet) and he generates the sheet. We describe our actions, and he makes the rolls and tells us the result (in descriptive text not "you do x points of damage). It's quite fun and I don't worry about my rolls, just what happens in the story.
KoiPwned
Cool. I've read some of the thread, but I guess I didn't get far enough to see what system it is. If I don't actually need books, though, I'll send him a character.
Dilvish the Deliverer
Nope, I have no books. None are needed.
Last Knight
You do not need books. I don't believe I ever actually admitted what system we're using, although I teased ShadowRaven with a number of them. Suffice to say, the rules are more of... guidelines, and I have a tendency to pick and choose which ones suit my needs at the time. If it works in an iteration of Dungeons & Dragons, I can make it work for our purposes. Sometimes, this involves invisible "Good Stuff/Bad Stuff" to make things work (which is how you characters like Wolf and Chance - simple farm boys - working out well alongside mysterious alien women and griffin-headed goblin ranger-thieves.) (Yes, I'm well aware that's not a D&D based/inspired/modified game. I steal from everything.) But the moral of the story is - you worry about concept, I'll worry about mechanics. And DD, thank you for covering for me.
