Kangaroorex
Since I travel a lot, this has been a great way to game and not be at home. I really appreciate all the effort that goes into keeping these running. I also love LK's game, it really brings out the creativeness in the players. Its a fun read. (hey, gotta have something to do on a 4 hour plane trip with wireless and not much else in a 22"x32" space. They gave galley slaves more room on the oar benches...
Auberon
I actually have three systems on my desk that I don't see my real life group playing anytime soon. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any of them having any type of SRD so I've been hesitant to try them by pbp. I'm also not entirely sure what my limit is for running pbp so I'm taking it slow rather than overextending myself.
Flamehawke
What systems?
Auberon
I have Shadows of Esteren, Qin, & Kuro (which I'm still reading). Interestingly all three are translation of French RPGs and of course none are d20. Shadows of Esteren is d10, Qin is ying/yang, & Kuro is a d6 pool system. Kangaroorex
I bought into the latest kickstarter of the shadows of Esteren. the world looked marvelous and very gritty in an environment. There is also lots of room for expansion and personalization. I think the book 0 is still free for electronic download and it gives enough basic information to run a simple scenario. that might be a way around the lack of an SRD. Also, its sometimes better when the players know they don't know the rules... many less arguments and "but I thought..." moments. Maybe when I get my books I will give this one a run with a timeskippers flare: you are dropped into a body in a world where you have no idea whats going on or what the rules of the world are, now you must survive with only the most basic knowledge. If I remember the synopsis of the scenarios right, one of the modules even lends itself to this type of drop in. Wakeing up clueless near a burnt out building husk with bodies all around and the guard bearing down and no clue what just happened. Might even give Auberon a chance to play rather than run! Auberon
I would definitely play Esteren if someone started a game. And speaking of games, we are currently waiting on a certain someone to declare their next action.
