this month's challenge is...4!
But!
We have a bonus challenge.

To be submitted on midnight reaper standard time on February 14th.
Paint (modification encouraged) a figure representative of the holiday this month.
Is it a little fat guy with a bow? A fair maiden with wings? A great big brute with pink tattoos? Or do you feel more like a monk caught in the rain?
You tell us!
...I'm not sure if it's allowed to offer small prizes or not for that which gets the most likes, so anything in this regard is pending.

My goal for the month of February is to finish 4 right off in that first week. That will get it out of the way so that I may just go to GhenghisCon the next weekend and not have anything to paint. Then everything after that is gravy. Oh and I plan to try to keep a running total this time.

This month I have decided to try to not only actually get something painted, but also to try to do several different kinds of miniatures, and chip away at the Mountains of Miniatures Madness by painting at least one of each from the following categories:

Reaper Bones, Oathsworn, All Quiet of the Martian Front, Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40.000, Kings of War, Deadzone, DreadBall, Mars Attacks, Shadows of Brimstone, Sedition Wars, Drake, Grendel Productions something or other, and to finish something that currently stands around half-done on  the shelf of shame,

So, at least 14 miniatures, several of which will be large and/or multiple pieces. An average of 3,5 minis a week, or one every two days. Should be doable. Unless I go off on a tangent again.

This months finished minis count thus far: 18 and 3 halfs, 3 bits of scenery, and 1 base of 3 15mm minis.

 

Now to ponder what kind of resolution to do for March. Do X amount of miniatures? Complete such and such squads? Do specific types of minis such as in February? Maybe manufacturers I have not done before?

 

…right now, I tend towards completing some squads. Get something ready for the table, just in case I actually would get to play some games. Which totally might happen. Yeah.

Finished 02980 Quosk Ravensire Half Orc Druid by James van Schaik as my first for February on 2/3. 

 

Finished 02677 Townsfolk IV Bandits by Bobby Jackson & Bob Murch as 2, 3, and 4 on 2/8.

 

Finished 1531 Kyrie, Special Edition Convention Miniature by Julie Guthrie as number 5 on 2/13.

 

Number 6 was started and finished on 2/14.  I guess that's a speed paint for me.  He was a Human Male Bard with Lute by Grenadier for the Valentine's Day Bonus Challenge.

On 2/20 I finished the Grenadier werewolf woman that I used as part of my Bonus Challenge, 02677 Townsfolk IV Bandit by Bobby Jackson & Bob Murch, and 03050 Thelfoea Medusa by James van Schaik to bring my total up to 13.

 

Finished these girls this past week of 2/27, 02448 Dancing Girls by Bobby Jackson & 03531 Nalani Dancing Girl by Jeff Grace, to bring my total of the month to 16.
