To be fair, I doubt many Texans invest in winter tires.  And driving on ice is difficult without either winter tires or chains.  Hopefully the poor weather is short-lived. 

 

I live in Colorado, and I haven't invested in snow tires. :D  Always wondered if they made any difference.

I live in Pittsburgh and they make a huge difference, even in our temperate clime. They're awesome.

I am a bit concerned about mine. I have no tracking number and my UPS incoming packages has been blank this entire time. I am wave 2. There isn't a number under my locked in pledge manager either. I've emailed Reaper a couple days ago. My main concern is the package arriving on one of the few days no one is here and possibly being stolen.

Just saw that one myself.   Must be Dutch, "Kill" means "small river" in Dutch (creek, basically,) so there are a ton of those names in Eastern New York, which was prominently Dutch.  Catskill, Fishkill, Poestenkill, Wynantskill, etc.

Learning new things everyday! I have never used that word, and I tend to speak Dutch every day.

 Heh.  I guess it's 17th Century Dutch, then. :)  They settled this area (the Hudson valley,) so there are a ton of Dutch names for towns.  I was amused to see my town referred to in that Wikipedia article. :)  Also, by the fact that the word "river" is sometimes added to the name, despite the fact that its redundant...
