Woo! UPS finally gave me some info. Box is 13.7 lbs. and is scheduled for early delivery next Wednesday. A day later than my original estimate but convenient as I have a D&D game that night.

Wave 3 and Wave 6 ROW (New Zealand), I've gotten updated emails from Reaper and the tracking appears to be working A-OK.

I have spotted a mistake that's entirely my fault on one of the shipments - I've inserted an extra '0' into the zip code by mistake.  Hopefully that won't be a huge issue (we don't tend to use ZIP codes here in NZ) but if it does it's entirely my fault and I can't see a way to update the shipment address through the tracking interface.  C'est la vie.

No shipping email from Reaper or shipper here either as Wave 1 RoW. I email Reaper at the [email protected] address last week, but they must be too swamped to reply yet. I'm getting a little worried I might have been skipped over somehow at this point.

Go back to the pledge manager and verify that you finalized your order. If it is finalized, give it about 24 hours for the email servers to push all the emails out. Also double check your spam/bulk mail folders.

I've now received the second email from Reaper - interestingly both emails (I got ones from both UPS and Reaper the first time) are exactly the same re the list of items I pledged for, and the original one has the comma items that were indicated as being the issue with the emails.  I guess that problem was intermittent then in the original email sends.

The only change I've noticed in the second email is that the order is reversed (the core set is at the bottom rather than top, and the unlocked extras I purchased are all displayed from last unlocked to first, rather than the original order of first unlocked to last).

*EDIT - I just went back and checked the pledge manager and the order is a bit different in there too - not sure what the sort order is then, possibly product code?

My tracking email was working from the start, although until yesterday it had been stuck at 12th Feb when it was initially notified to UPS MI.
Now it shows:

Australia 02/18/2015 2:56 P.M. Shipment Acceptance at international carrier
Bensenville, IL, United States 02/18/2015 12:21 P.M. Package received for processing by UPS Mail Innovations

I guess UPS wash their hands of the exact location once it's at the international carrier, because there's no way it made it to Australia in the mere two hours between those events!

2nd Edit - forgot to mention - I am Wave 1 ROW

Yeah, I got an email with no items listed, a shipping date in December of last year, and a tracking number for a package that was delivered ages ago ....

So, I'm getting an empty box sometime last year? I know everyone around here loves Reaper Customer Service, but -every- -single- -time- I deal with them there is some inane thing like this. Great figs and a forehead slapping level of rigamarole free with each order!

Curious - were you a backer of our CAV kickstarter as well?

When i shipped my exchange mini to NZ it via UPS it stopped in Bensenville and then was delivered  within 48 hours..

I'm now facing Bensenville and praying, 48 hours from yesterday would mean a very happy Saturday.

Of course my wife may not be quite so happy covering for my sudden onset of Bonesitis and have to do all the parental taxi duties.

my second e-mail appears to have the tracking info for my CAV kickstarter order as well.  I have forwarded it as requested, but seeing as my initial message from this project was correct and my shipment has been received I am not worried about it, just sending it along as a data point for you.

Every so often, a model catches my attention. Sometimes because it is excellent and inspiring, sometimes because there is something off about it. Sometimes the model is both.  Here is one such example:

Yeah, it is the angle of the buckler thats just wrong. It simply should not happen. It triggers my OCD.
This is the "Gnoll Warrior" from the "Thank You pack" add-on in the second Bones kickstarter. During the kickstarter it was presented as a line concept drawing and as is usually the case, the resulting miniature ends up slightly different. Still a perfectly good representation of the original concept art, but anyhow.
That said, I do understand that one-piece castability requires certain angles and alignments for the mould to work, and to get the detail in the shield to show it cannot be sideways in the mould. There have been plenty of examples of minis in strange poses and/or holding things at strange angles because of this.
This Gnoll is also stylistically rather different from the other Gnolls Reaper makes in Bones, perhaps it's just not so comic-like?
      But I ramble.
The other day as I yet again was perusing the Drawers of Doom™, I picked this one for the painting table. But first it got to meet Mr. Scalpel for a field amputation followed by a quick rotation and graft:
One drop of superglue later the case of the misaligned buckler was solved.
Add a base and some paint:

Good thing classic Bones material is really easy to slice and reposition. Such an excellent material for convertions as well.

Jagged white parallells of sharp fangs emerged into the campfire light, then a staring yellow eye. Inquisitive, roughly probing clawed fingers followed. Snorting, foul breath enveloped me, causing me to gag.
It jerked its beast-like head back, loud barks of mocking laughter spraying spittle in my face as I tried to stand my ground.
"I smell fright, little man", the gnoll rasped out at last. "Why's that parlay-totem here?"

This mini was finished September 12th 2020.

The last few weeks have been very busy with very little time or inspiration to paint, as the general lack of posts lately will bear full witness to.

As you might imagine, I was going for green magical flames.  I struggled with this, and it did not turn out as I had envisioned it.
This one I count as a bit of a failure, and I am not at all satisfied with how it turned out. Maybe I will repaint the whole thing at some point but for now I am rather sick of it.
At leaast it does look much better IRL on the table than when magnified in photos. Somthing which is a small comfort. The white for "teeth" does not work at all in the pictures and I might just redo that part and leave the rest alone. Or not. The wierd thing is that the white "teeth" are not that bad IRL. But once seen, it cannot be unseen...

      What is this sorcery?!
Gah! Even the captions are uninspired. I should probably just go to bed.

      And Black Panther.

Alas, the fangs I painstakingly painted in do not show up in the photo.

Here is my Kanjira. The pose of the monster made me think it could be a good idea too make it emerge through the Trees. A vision of Knightmare, for sure.

Also did a quick speed paint of two statues. Not sure were the other column is at the moment, but this one was out while I was painting the angel of death so it got paint too.

She fit very snuggly into that base. I'm debating whether or not she'll stay in it.

The pair. Also the angel without the base.
