Hm ... no my tracker says "not available" ... ;)

My says the same.

First it was sitting in some city (probably Bensenville)

Than Brazil (probably delivered to USPS)

Now "not available"

Will we receive the USPS new tracking code? I know this UPS tracking code don´t work here in Brazil post office. Someone ROW who ever got a package first passing through UPS know about this?

It seems to flip to Not Available every now and then, at least mine's been doing that since it first showed up a few days ago.

I don't think anyone RoW has received their package yet, so no one is sure.

araziel: Same Situation here. I was RoW, Wave 1 - and the shipping Information says "shipped 02-20-2015"?

On the other hand, the UPS tracker says that my package was in Bensenville 02-18-2015 ... and it already is in Germany (since 02-19 ... one day? that would be very, very fast)  ... so it must have shipped with Wave 1.

Ditto, but from Bensenville my package teleported to Brussels. :B):

W1 ROW Reaper and UPS Emails came through this morning. Yay!  Thanks Bryan and Kit for successfully negotiating the techno-maze-of-email-doom. The smoking corpses of your opponents lie behind you now.

UPS Tracking Oddness: Some time late last night the UPS Tracker updated to say my parcel had been handed off for NZ Delivery 14 hours earlier.  Makes sense, overnight batch updates are a common feature of modern 1990's programming.

Yeah, it will be crazy to follow it (fun, but crazy)

Oooh. That much :D

Just wait until I'm rich. I'll just flat out buy Reaper and make them give me all the Bones, ALL OF THEM!

I can't believe I missed that Cthulhu wars kickstarter... that game and it's minis look amazing! So Jelly!

It is truly the coolest looking box and components I've ever seen in a board game. It's still horribly expensive of course, but if you're a mythos fanboy it's certainly hard to say no. Haven't played it myself yet, but from all reviews I've seen the game is rock solid too, so that's a plus :)

Did something go wrong with UPS pickup last night? I got my email from Reaper yesterday afternoon, then an email from UPS a while later showing it as ready for pickup. Then I got another last evening saying it would be delivered today (I'm pretty local). Of course the first thing I did when I got up was to check the tracking and it still shows as "Order Processed: Ready for UPS", no change from last night. Then I get a UPS email saying my package won't be delivered today and that they will let me know when they have an updated delivery date.

Any idea what gives? I've had quite a bit of experience on both ends of the UPS cluster mess and this makes it look as though the package was never scanned into their system. Normally if it's out for delivery it's updated around 4:30 AM in Mesquite. This one has no status at all except saying a label was printed (more or less). Weird . . .

Anybody? Buehler? Just wondering if the packages were picked up last night as they should have been?

OK. I've got two separate packages shipping to New Zealand, for very boring tax reasons. The first, Wave 3, is tracking as in NZ and is likely in NZ customs. Pretty sure it would have shipped the second day of ROW shipping. The other, rather heavier (about triple the weight!) order, is from Wave 6 which I believe shipped after the weekend and still lists as "in transit". Normally Reaper orders take about 8 days to get here so it looks like these orders are running on about that time table for me.

As far as I am aware everything was picked up last night as expected.

Once the packages have been picked up for delivery by the carrier, we have no control over whether they correctly update their software or databases, however, nor can we vouch for the accuracy of their estimates - they are, after all, in independent contractor.

We have turned back on the ability to see your tacking number on your Pledge Manager Invoice, and will be including that information in tonight's Update.

Thanks Bryan. That's what I needed to know. It would be like UPS to not scan it and throw it aside for a few days since I'm local and they don't have a commitment to deliver anytime soon. I've seen it happen before. The computer says it will be there tomorrow but the humans just don't bother with it unless you pay for overnight shipping.

I'm wave 5. Hoping to see Salem today rather than Monday.... This is like playing the slot machines at Vegas... Land on jackpot! Come on!

Except with this "Bones slot machine," you know you're going to win something for sure! ^_^

Huzzah!

--OneBoot :D

I'm watching rather obsessively. :)  I keep seeing Oklahoma City, OK come up - I'm starting to curse that city.  Although I saw Bristol CT and I'm like "Oooh, my wife is from around there."

Oooh Cohoes!  That's just across the river.  Maybe that's for my friend Jon.

Every so often, a model catches my attention. Sometimes because it is excellent and inspiring, sometimes because there is something off about it. Sometimes the model is both.  Here is one such example:

Yeah, it is the angle of the buckler thats just wrong. It simply should not happen. It triggers my OCD.
This is the "Gnoll Warrior" from the "Thank You pack" add-on in the second Bones kickstarter. During the kickstarter it was presented as a line concept drawing and as is usually the case, the resulting miniature ends up slightly different. Still a perfectly good representation of the original concept art, but anyhow.
That said, I do understand that one-piece castability requires certain angles and alignments for the mould to work, and to get the detail in the shield to show it cannot be sideways in the mould. There have been plenty of examples of minis in strange poses and/or holding things at strange angles because of this.
This Gnoll is also stylistically rather different from the other Gnolls Reaper makes in Bones, perhaps it's just not so comic-like?
      But I ramble.
The other day as I yet again was perusing the Drawers of Doom™, I picked this one for the painting table. But first it got to meet Mr. Scalpel for a field amputation followed by a quick rotation and graft:
One drop of superglue later the case of the misaligned buckler was solved.
Add a base and some paint:

Good thing classic Bones material is really easy to slice and reposition. Such an excellent material for convertions as well.

Jagged white parallells of sharp fangs emerged into the campfire light, then a staring yellow eye. Inquisitive, roughly probing clawed fingers followed. Snorting, foul breath enveloped me, causing me to gag.
It jerked its beast-like head back, loud barks of mocking laughter spraying spittle in my face as I tried to stand my ground.
"I smell fright, little man", the gnoll rasped out at last. "Why's that parlay-totem here?"

This mini was finished September 12th 2020.

The last few weeks have been very busy with very little time or inspiration to paint, as the general lack of posts lately will bear full witness to.

As you might imagine, I was going for green magical flames.  I struggled with this, and it did not turn out as I had envisioned it.
This one I count as a bit of a failure, and I am not at all satisfied with how it turned out. Maybe I will repaint the whole thing at some point but for now I am rather sick of it.
At leaast it does look much better IRL on the table than when magnified in photos. Somthing which is a small comfort. The white for "teeth" does not work at all in the pictures and I might just redo that part and leave the rest alone. Or not. The wierd thing is that the white "teeth" are not that bad IRL. But once seen, it cannot be unseen...

      What is this sorcery?!
Gah! Even the captions are uninspired. I should probably just go to bed.

      Your basic normal-sized wolf:

      And Black Panther.

Alas, the fangs I painstakingly painted in do not show up in the photo.

Here is my Kanjira. The pose of the monster made me think it could be a good idea too make it emerge through the Trees. A vision of Knightmare, for sure.

Also did a quick speed paint of two statues. Not sure were the other column is at the moment, but this one was out while I was painting the angel of death so it got paint too.

She fit very snuggly into that base. I'm debating whether or not she'll stay in it.

The pair. Also the angel without the base.
