Lidless Eye Hobbies acquires some Oldhammer Dwarfs (and backup)

Recommended Posts

Some fellows finally acquired in trades.  The crossbowman happened to be part of a lot, but I'd been searching for Thulgrim the Gloater and Corbit Shortstuff for quite some time, and managed to get them both within a day of each other.

Nice!

Full of character!

While I'm not a big fan of the short stunty WH look these do bring back some memories.

The few Dwarves from that era that actually have legs and not just feet emerging from skirts are disconcerting.  Some of the Slayers looked like a different species.

I'm a fan of that era...I like the newest plastics (the Longbeards are great) a lot too, but they lack the bulbous nose that always seemed so Dwarfy to me.

My next project is a small Kroot force. I don't play Warhammer 40K, but these guys will be a great band of aliens for Star wars. Here is the test figure that I painted earlier. Now up are four Kroot hounds. They have been base-coated Nurgling Green and washed with Reikland Fleshshade. Now to give that some time to dry.

Painted a bunch of Lannisters this week including both soldiers and charactera. Tyrion's sculpt has surprisingly great face and was interesting to paint overall :)

An older miniature I started years ago, but finished recently. I think it was mostly the weapons (shading) and dirty shirt missing. I would say the paint job is average, but I do like the miniature.

I decided to go for a simple, but interesting base, featuring a Nolzur's bottle and Thomarillion barrel.

      Hi folks,
I recently painted up the dark dwarves (and Margara, dwarf shaman) as some duergar. Heavily inspired by Dr. Faust's Painting Clinic duergar streams for the skin.
Only one picture, but may take more if there's interest. :)
