Kingdom Death Survivor Pinup

I love it.

The only thing I'm hesitant on is the white blade handle. At the moment, it's so white that it immediately draws my eye in the side view shot (where its sharply contrasted with the skin tone) and I'm not sure that is the intention.

Unfortunately, I don't have anywhere close to enough experience to say how it should be changed.

I gotta tell ya', I didn't even notice the white handle.

I was, uh... distracted.

Superbly well done I second the skin tone but what really stands out is the hair the lantern and the base. Excellent work ;)

This is incredibly awesome. She is, well she's gorgeous.

Your marble idea made me think about this girl that did a marble kind of look on a mug by dipping it in water with swirled nail polish in it. I wonder if that could work as a quick easy way to get a marble effect.

Really nice job!  I think the skin and objects on the lantern side could be warmed up with a little bit of a yellow ink glaze.  Not so much because of OSL but to reflect the character of the light on that side of her.

Lovely!  I like that you chose brighter colors- so much of the KD art gets so dark.  Great work with the marble!

My love for pulp, and particularly pulp aviators and aviatrices, is well-known. So this cheesecake propaganda pinup poster Sophie had to be. I was very glad indeed to see it back in production. Love everything about this sculpt from hair to boots. But you didn't come here to read; you came for the pictures!

Guest appearances by 80070 and some Artizan Thrilling Tales figs, 50075, some Murch Pulp sailors,  a Nolzur's water elemental, a Pacific Rim action figure, and a repurposed plastic egg. I also replaced Sophie's wings with some smaller wings I had lying around; I have a plan for those larger wings and a larger devil.

Presenting Angry Joe, the last of my Survivors from the Gigalion expansion from Kingdom Death. He believes the best defence against monsters is to wear a suit made of their skin.

Had a lot of fun painting this one, Gorm armour is my favourite set despite all the little details, now I just need to paint the Gigalion itself.

Presenting Skully, the third member of my Gigalion expansion from Kingdom Death. She likes skulls and has a pet rock.

I think this is the weakest of the Survivors, it's not a bad mini but it's a bit of an awkward sculpt that doesn't make a whole lot of sense out of context. Was still fun to paint though.

Presenting Lady Fancy Hair, my second Survivor from the Gigalion expansion from Kingdom Death, she's into whips and leather belts.

Had this one sitting unfinished for a while (I got burnt out painting her fancy hair), but as I currently have a renewed interest in my Kingdom Death stuff, I thought I'd try and get her finished.

"Umm... Guys, I think I've found our missing team members."

Presenting the Cleric, part of the second Echoes of Death set from Kingdom Death, not sure why she has such a gruesome base insert, none of the others came with one.

Disappointingly, she looks pretty terrible in the piccys. Honestly, apart from her decidedly wonky eyes, I thought I'd done a fairly good job.
