malefactus
INSPIRING...well it did inspire moi to dig my Quosk out of the Vault. Your choice of colors is STRIKING; the pale flesh tones & vibrant purple look SPLENDID together. Combined with some FINE brushwork & basing, your creation is VERY WELL DONE indeed.
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted February 11, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 11, 2015 The bandits and their loot look very well done.
korimar
Finished number five the week of the 13th, 1531 Kyrie, Special Edition Convention Miniature by Julie Guthrie. Pic at top.
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted February 14, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 14, 2015 She looks good, nice job. One minor thing, though. Her boots match her base a little too much. Perhaps a slightly different brown tone for the base, or some grass/vegetation or something? Like I said, it's a very minor thing. I still think she looks excellent; that would just make the figure even better.
kitenerd
LIke em all but especially the hirelings... rarely has someone cared so much about the lowly hireling - looks like they have repaid your concern for them by getting you a big pile of loot!
korimar
Yeeeeaaa... I agree about her base. I've been painting all of my bases Muddy Brown over black for uniformity. I would like to get some more browns soon. I know I could mix, but I'm too lazy. I am slowly moving to doing basing for my figures. I don't have any real bases to use yet. I keep spending any extra I have on more figures. I honestly don't know how many lifetimes I'll need to paint them all. I admit, I'm addicted to just collecting them. Better than alcohol or drugs I guess. I just dropped too much on some Fighting Fungi on Kickstarter. I have absolutely no use for them. I'm gettin 'em though. Anyway, the short of it is- I'm looking forward to doing some 'real' basework in the future. (I can only imagine her in snow and rocks)
korimar
Painted the Human Male Bard with Lute on 2/14 for the Bonus Challenge. Part of a scene set to a ballad I wrote with another female figure that I painted about twenty years ago. I retouched her today for the photo and will be redoing her completely soon.
korimar
03312: Townsfolk: Cultists and Victim by Bobby Jackson was finished on 2/19. They make 10 for the month. I did my best to put a little black Cthulhu on the stone circle scroll. FYI, the victim does not fit inside the circle, unless you really grind/cut her down, which I did not do.
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted February 20, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 20, 2015 Nice job on the cultists and their victim. The heroes better get there fast!
korimar
Have finished the last townsfolk bandit (still need glue for his crossbow) and the Grenadier werewolf maiden from my Valentine's Day challenge. Have also finished 03050 Thelfoea Medusa by James van Schaik today 2/20.
korimar
Yep. Here's her other forms. I think I originally painted these in about 1995 or 6. Guess I gotta repaint the other two now.
