Be aware they've already been smacked by Disney's legal department. I wouldn't be surprised if Warner Bros didn't also lay some smack before all is said and done.

I wonder if maybe they learned from the Disney cease and desist enough, to make enough changes to the DC ones that it wouldn't be a problem. I am thinking this would probably fall under parody laws.

So I just took a quick look at the project page and I don't see any obvious changes.

Have there been any mentioned anywhere?

They're pretty big. Even the small ones appear to be 3cm tall.

I like, oddly enough, the apparently male gobbo dressed as an Amazon woman hero with two oranges dropped halfway into his tube top.

Probably the only mini still pictured that *might* get them in trouble is the Aquaman one, since it's his costume, in his colors, in one of his classic pose.  If they just painted him something other than orange and green it would probably be fine.  Evil still, if they go after this, which is so clearly parody, will they start hunting down the cosplayers at ComicCon next?

But then again, if all of this isn't covered by satire/parody I have no idea what is.  I mean heck, Wonder Woman being cosplayed by a male goblin.

I think the problem with the parody defence in this case will be that marvel et al already have a whole heap of merchandise from lego/videogames/chibi type statues/happy meal toys etc across the world

so it's probably pretty easy for them to find something that the art/sculpts here look too much like

If the cosplayers make a movie and try to get it in theaters, yes. Don't be pedantic about it :p You can't use a company's IP, let alone in a market segment directly served by that company's licensing (Knight models in particular, Infinity stuff (the Marvel not Corvus Belli), LEGO, etc.

My tongue was firmly planted in cheek with that comment.

I was going to back this but learning that MIHK is involved. This is one of the many things he was doing instead of fulfilling contracts with other companies for the past year.

I totally agree with you on this point. However, the people behind Skull Minis are some really nice guys. Also, they are using the same guy as I am for the resin casts, so I can assure everyone that they will receive some really high quality figures! :)
