01526: Madame Gorgonzola

Totally awesome little sculpt. I painted her up to include with the Mice and Mystics project I did before Christmas, but am only now getting around to posting her. I'm very pleased with what is really only a three-to-four hour paint job (though the time is why there's no OSL; if I ever have another one of her to paint, there will be...).

 

 

I was trying for "blind" with the eyes, there are white pupils that just aren't apparent in the photo. The base is painted to match the other heroes in the M&M set.

If it is any consolation, I got the eye thing right off, before I read it. The milky white instead of stark white was a great selling point.

 

I think Vallejo or someone (maybe even Reaper) sells a pearlescent paint or medium (for the crystal ball).

I had a lot of fun with the little swoops and curlicues on the crystal ball, but you're right it could have used a bit more shiny...should have used the interference powders we have, that would've been cool. Now I need to find something to use those on...
