My First Painted Mini

That's a great first mini. Back 20 years ago my first minis were just flat paint with no shading. Then I painted them black and drybrushed all the colors on and thought that looked awesome. You are far beyond that. Great start and my best advice is don't be afraid to just relax and play while you're practicing, it's easy to get caught up in trying to be perfect all the time but that will only slow you down.

An orc as a first mini is a great idea.  A Tre Manor orc... is ambitious.  His minis are wonderful and full of character, but he often sculpts the most frustratingly tiny eyes in the bloody industry.  Honestly, I'm painting a whole troupe of these guys right now, and I actually avoided going down to the workbench tonight because I didn't feel my hands were up to the task of painting their eyes.

I don't know how I managed it but apparently I'm not smart enough to be afraid of stuff.  I am a beginner too and I have already painted two Tre Manor orcs (not knowing they're challenging) and painted them with red chipped armor and someone congratulated me on having the guts, didn't know that was difficult either.
