Bones 2 Unpacking Tips

Recommended Posts

While unpacking your bones, pay attention to expansion #2's shadow demon.  His face is a relatively small separate part that might be overlooked and accidentally discarded.

Mine was attached as well, but some of these minis do come unglued so it is very wise to pay attention case a piece like the shadow Demon's face comes unattached in shipping

Thanks for the tip.

Why on earth would the face be a separate part though?

Some parts are molded separately because of mold limitations on shapes that include undercuts, and some parts that should be glued together are ... not.

WARNING! IMPORTANT UNPACKING PROCESS:

1) clear lounge of all children's toys

2) open box and cut everything out of bags so all bones are loose in box

3) lift box up over your head

4) pour over your head

QFT.

I love this.

Keep an eye out for detached parts. I had a warmaiden whose shield arm was separated, and I'm still trying to figure out where the bow and quiver piece goes...

What glue do you recommend for assembling translucent figures?

I chose to use the bathtub instead. I feel like Scrooge McDuck.

Maybe that's what this one bit I have is... It's vaguely shield/cloaky shaped..

5)  Wake up at 5 am -  with a brilliant new organization scheme and resort your miniatures for 30 min before anyone else wakes up.

in case your wondering:

Bag 1 - humans and friends

Bag 2 - humanoids

Bag 3 - monsters

Bag 4 (small) undead

Bag 5 (small) non-fantasy figures.

dungeon decor was thrown in with monsters (Might be mimics!)

5) CACKLE MADLY

I had to add an additional process, so I FTFY!

Gorilla superglue works quite well on clear objects. No fogging.
