Favorite Reaper Figure for a PC?

Recommended Posts

Just what the title says - for any of you who play roleplaying games/use figures to represent your character(s), which one is your personal favorite? ^_^ Was curious after reading the 'hidden gems' thread.

For me, its the 01551 (though it doesn't show) Christmas Knight for a Paladin.

Mods, feel free to move if this in the wrong place!

i think this might be the best Reaper mini for a PC     :

03205, Friar Stone, is a character I've always WANTED to play. Him gots character.

Arthrand Nightblade, Elf ranger. I've always loved the figure, and have played a couple based on him

I painted Amrath the golden, weapon swapped to a fail for a friends PC.

and I did a fairly standard dwarf, painted as leather armor with bushes and a golden nugget for a Dwaven ranger who poops gold.

Stag Lord - for one of my PCs.  He refused to wear a shirt for several levels, keeping a chain shirt in a backpack for actual dungeons.

60148 Sandru Vhiski is my goto for male academic types. I've actually painted two up so far. There's a new figure I spotted in Bones II that may give him a run for his money, but I haven't used it yet.

As an honorable mention I am in love with the 02835 Jolie, Female Scribe sculpt, although I haven't used my copy for a character yet after a basecoating experiment returned a negative result..

If we're allowed three, Herryk's fun.

This is the Hill Giant from 77939. I have not finished the cat yet, so I only have the Giant here. I have been trying to add various colors (layers of color for one area/color) to my minis to make them more interesting. Following some of the painters here and other utubers and painters like Angel G. I used an Imperial Purple base for this entire mini and then did Troll Flesh as next base for skin and then built up reddish skin tones for skin and then went lighter tan. Hope you enjoy, I had fun painting him.

Worked on some critters. The leeches were painted Walnut Brown and highlighted in medium grey. Then I went over them with Turbo Dork - 3D Glasses. Then wash of Nuln Oil Glossy. Ended up with the slimy/glossy look I was trying for.

Dire Crab, I was inspired by the color scheme that many have posted here, which i think they were modeling a Blue Crab which seems to be more green with many interesting colors in it. I painted the whole thing Ivory, and then glazed inks and washes up and tried to be careful on where I laid the wash/ink down. Some were just one coat, like Reikland Fleshshade for the edges of shell and claws. Also uded Army Painter green ink and Nuln Oil (for mix with green for darkest part on top of shell) for shell/legs/claws, Reaper Sepia wash for in-between colors and the underside. Only paint I used was bit of black at tips of claws, and Tropical blue watered down to thickish wash for blue on claws/legs.

Just one more for now.  I recently received a kickstarter which had decal pages for books and scrips.  They were primarily for warhammer but the author made some changes during the kickstarter to make them more system neutral.  I got them and then went looking for a mini to try them on.  I found Lor Gorna first and this was the result.  I liked the mini and i also liked the color i got on his robes and cloak!
And of course his purpose, the book, came out pretty well too!
