MissMelons
I just had to paint the Raster first from Numenera. After some cleaning though I realized that either the paint or mini is working against me. Under neath the wings where I have painted, the texture, once it dried it got really flakey. I made sure to clean it well too. :'( I got to play with some nice glazing on him though. I love his wings The evil Dryad: My favorite part is her face and skin. I feel like I've nailed her face pretty well and the skin is okay but the Tree is getting me. It's broken apart on me twice and now I'll have to use green stuff to refill and fix the gaps where they connect. Linky offsight due to NUDITY!: http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n43/tilla-oni/146746bb-1d0a-4a45-8baf-989cfaf3d9bb.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n43/tilla-oni/3d588321-22c2-447a-a71f-661f81fe0416.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n43/tilla-oni/90fa9494-4562-43de-a8cb-f986b2a16cbc.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n43/tilla-oni/672b4423-e1c7-4f4a-8bd5-d8131179a0a8.jpg
Corporea
wow, the dryad's face is awesome!!! I'm not sure about the flaky paint, other than there must be some mold release still stuck on the miniature. You could try putting down a layer of brush-on sealer on the raster to see if it binds better, but beware- it will smooth out details of the sculpt like fine textures. not sure if it would work, but its worth a shot. I use it on pesky mold lines occasionally. I love the blending on the wings!!
The Inner Geek
Awesome work! Love the wings on the Raster, and the dryad is quite nice too. On a semi-related note, I opened the last 'new releases' email from Reaper at work and was clicking through the pictures.. bewbs. It would be nice if they would put a NSFW on those links since, like these forums, my work is a family environment. Well, it is when I'm working from home anyway.
hosercanadian
Very nice dryad, I love the autumn red you used for hair. Out of curiosity what keeps falling off?
MissMelons
Very nice dryad, I love the autumn red you used for hair. Out of curiosity what keeps falling off? Thanks! The branches. I've pinned them, glued them, green stuffed them and they have fallen off twice now.
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted February 16, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 16, 2015 The Raster looks pretty cool; I really should have gotten them. Oh, well. Retail; gotta help keep the FLGS in business. Your Dryad looks awesome; wonderful job on her face! Sorry to hear about the broken branches; you've already tried everything that I would have suggested.

Dr.Bedlam
Y'all are making me feel inadequate. I've had my Bones since Friday, and I just now got around to priming and prepping the mouselings.Admittedly, it IS Valentine Weekend... and I've been kinda busy... but, DANG! Some people seem to have plenty of time, and don't waste it!
MissMelons
I've been sick so I've had nothing but time. Plus, as soon as I saw the Raster and Rider, I had to paint them. I'm glad ad you all like her. She's a wonderful sculpt and I adore it. Its a shame the branches were giving me such a hard time.
