Oh, okay. Good plan.

I was disappointed when the hair and helm went on that last one. Maybe the talk of the bald(ish) champion or whatever will pan out.

I'd love one without a helm but I'd hate a bald or partially shaved one. I don't know of any bald female vikings in history or legend, although, horns on helms is also pure fantasy and I'm all in on that. Personally, the fact that the Helmaidens have helms is one reason I'm backing this. There aren't many helmed female barbarians around. These gals are just as fierce as the guys! Making one bald would seem gimmicky or cartoony in my opinion.

A lot of folks agree with you.

I like variety, though, and have zero interest in historical accuracy. It's actually not a style I seek out often, but I think a bald head or forelock or some such would fit really well on one of Tre's sculpts. And I have to confess that, since I don't field armies or anything, there's a sameness amongst these sets that I wouldn't mind seeing broken.

I am primarily a painter since the gaming scene is something I've never really been into (but I desperately yearn for small skirmish fantasy games...) but I've actually been moving away from doing fancy bases for my RBG miniatures, and basing them on gaming bases in the hopes that I can use them for play in a skirmish or dungeon crawl game.

I think a side shaved head, or shaved head would be cool, or one of those Viking mullets for this proposed hero.

Mostly I just want more WIPs so we can get more backers, more funding, etc

We will have to agree to disagree there CA. I don't think it's be gimmicky to have a different one. Everyone has different tastes though, so it's all cool.

That's completely fair. It's just a preference. I'm going with individually selected models so whatever works for the big backers is way more valid than my preference. I'd hate to limit any artist, much less someone as gifted as Tre. I just thought I'd throw my bony opinion into the dog kennel.

More variety is my preference, too. I'd love to see more women with short hair, a circlet, or even dreadlocks before clean shaven. Again, that's just my own personal preference. If a woman warrior is bald I'd love to see burn scars or something similar that would help explain the character design. Something a little more interesting and individual than making one miniature bald because "most ladies have hair".

Some sort of long topknot might be neat, but I don't think I'd like a completely bald female.

I like this idea so much I'm quoting that I like it too.

Waaaaaaaaay THIS.

Or even a messy matted bun. Like she just wanted to get it the hell out of her way. Just twisted up her hair, knotted any old hide strap around it and counts on rainy weather to keep it "clean".
