I do not judge you. Additionally we should have more long haired well groomed male vikings in mini form. Vikings were known for their magnificent manes and regular baths in real life. The grundgy gross medieval societies were all to the south.

I like the helmeted Helsmadiens the way they are, but if one is going to be unhelmeted, the photo Bathory posted is exactly like what I had in mind.

I'm currently out on this one, because armor spikes. We'll see whether there's something more to my taste before the end of the campaign.

 

If not, I'm glad that the current figs have found an audience and there will be more in the future that may work better for me.

I agree about the armor spikes. I plan to clip and file most of them off. They should be easy enough to remove. I do like them on the shields though.

Oh yeah, very easy to remove those spikes if needed/wanted.

I personally like the spikes. They make the forces of Hel distinctive along with their generally taller smoother armor shapes compared to the vikings.

Tre likes his spikes. I noticed the connection when i finished the Gnoll Ranger he did for reaper. it has spike armor! I liked it.

The spikes only really show up on the orcs and Helsvakt. I think it's a stylistic choice influenced by certain media, and I think that it works real well.

 

His Njorns ( fantasy Vikings ) do not have spikes, and have helmet less horns.

 

I really like the spikes but really only on the evil barbarians and the orcs, I'm glad that they're not found on his goblins for instance. I think that they work really well with the models they're on ( even though I'll probably clip the nipple spikes off myself)

Even though I don't care for the spikes, they don't deter me from getting the minis one bit. They're easier to remove than some mold lines. Hell, I might make a pit trap!
