Completed Blood Rage

Got two games in today. One four player and one three player.

 

I am curious if others are seeing that most games have one or two people with a much higher total in the end. The four player game had the winner at around 150 and the last place at less than 20 glory. The three player game today and the two player game last week saw a gap of around 50-60 points.

 

Overall, tons of fun! The group was happy to play. We even used the gods in the last game (Odin and Heimdall) which added another layer of fun - double pillaging in the center in the first age let me set up to dominate the last game today!

Some questions that came up:

-can you have more than 12 rage (for instance, if you start an age with 12 and then gain rage due to a battle card)

-if you have a call to battle, and decide to pass, but then other people enter the battle, can you choose to join the battle when it comes back to you, or did you forfeit the chance to join completely?

 

 

I think there were others but I am not recalling them.

Talae (and everyone else) - perhaps we should start a NEW thread in the OTR section of the forum for playing of this game/rules questions/comments? That way it can be kept in a thread that won't lock up once fulfillment is done and it won't get lost in 50+ pages of a thread.

You can add units (as long as there are empty villages, or infinitely in Tgdrassil) even if you have passed the first time.

 

No idea about the 12+ rage question. You should post it on the gameboardgeek forum, one of the game designers (Thiago Aranha) visits it rather frequently and answers player's questions. That's also where I got my official Q&A (post #837, I keep updating it) from ..

I was debating a general "boards games being played" type thread in the Off Topic section in order to gain traffic above what other sections might get with specific threads. Is that a wrong idea?

That would be fine.  But if you are looking for a continued discussion of this specific game and the rules, that should be in General Fantasy, regardless of the amount of traffic that section gets.

 

Traffic, incidentally, which would increase when people use it more often.
