Bones Dragons - What D&D size category are each of them in?

3.5ish, yeah.  Mind you I haven't gotten out a measuring tape or anything but I do have the Gargantuan Black Dragon and tend to use that as my reference.  To be fair (since I did go as far as to reference size classes) I can do ref pics next to the Black Dragon (Vinny) if you'd prefer.

You read my mind.  I have been searching google for such an image.  Can you compare black dragon to Narthra, Nathavarr, and khajira?  Thanks so much.

Hey LordJosh, I do not know if you have Narthrax but I was having trouble deciding for him because he pushes that line of huge 3x3 and gargantuan 4x4.  His base fits perfect into a 4x4 base but his body dimension seem shy of gargantuan size (comparing to gargantuan D&D figures) unless you are comparing to Pathfinder figures because they undersize their miniatures.  He has thicker and larger features than Deathsleet in almost every way except the hind legs.  But still not gargantuan size.  So...  I am still unsure but leaning more towards huge.  He will just be my largest huge miniature.

I haven't yet put together Narthrax; I'm still working on painting Cinder at current, but I'm slowed because well, Diablo 3 isn't gonna play itself...  It seems like Cinder, Narthrax, Deathsleet, Ebonwrath, and Blightfang are all in the Huge category, though obviously there are some slight differences.

Huge is a range that occupies a 5m x 5m square (15' by 15').  It could be anything from 11feet (since 10 is Large) to 15feet, so there is certainly the opportunity for some variation within that range.

LordJosh, I agree with you for that size for those dragons and will most likely do the same.

Reaperbryan, though huge is 15ft x 15ft, i think of it more as the core body size of a creature taking up that space, not including its wings and tails and stuff.  The rock bases they come on sometimes may throw a person off also.  I feel Nathavarr should be on a 4x4 inch base but i doubt i can fit him on that even with shaving some of his base because the base is too large compared to the size of the dragon.  So i will probably place him on a 5x5 inch base i have.

I base them on what looks right, and to heck with the "rules." :-P

Narthrax went on an 80mm. His base doesn't quite fit, but it looks right for his body size. Blightfang went on a 3", Ebonwrath is on a 120mm (but he's for display).

Even excluding Verocithrax, you have not included the Dragon hatchlings from Bones II.

LOL, I don't have them yet.  YET.  So when do they hit retail again?

I have no clue for retail.  I only received mine about a month ago or so. So you dont have any of the new dragons?  You have to get some dragons bro.  Lol
