Related to my previous post showing my first unit of Gondor Spearmen, here are my first two units of Swordsmen. They used to be three units, but I combined two into the larger unit.

These guys were painted last year, making up a decent chunk of the models I painted. As I've said, I wanted to avoid showing them individually (or at all) until I had more to show. Now that I've shown some of them recently, I figure I may as well start to show them off here on the blog to help motivate myself to get the army finished. I've got two units of swordsmen finished so far for Kings of War - one set up as a Regiment, and one as a Horde.

Everything I said about painting them previously applied and applies just as much to these guys, as well as the ones I've still got to paint.

For Horde-sized units, I just double the number of models I use for a regiment. In this case 12->20 becomes 24->40. I think it still works, especially on the tabletop.

I'm using a mix of things - I've got some of the older, discontinued GW trays (which is what the unit of 12 is mounted on), the newer versions of essentially the same thing from Renedra and some thick card, which is what I've been basing everything else on, from the larger units to 3 or 6 Ogres, or cavalry units.

This is a Games workshop Mumak  miniature that I bought used here awhile back. It was missing a lot of parts so I did some custom work. Here is the work in progress thread.
      https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90512-mumakil-rebuild/
I interned to get some archers to ride in it in the future but these Uruk will work for the pictures.

Some 28mm horsemen to help give a sense of size. This is now probably my largest miniature, barely.

      Thanks for looking!

I found this mumakil  on the internet here recently. It is missing a lot of pieces, however I’m going to try to rebuild this thing. Here is my progress so far.
An oathmark dwarf for comparison, this thing is big!

Whoever assembled this thing glued the platform on sideways, with a VERY stout glue. In my efforts to remove it I ended up breaking it so it now has a pair of gaping holes in the bottom.

After trying to remove the platform pieces from the rest of the saddle I finically gave up and just ground them off, and glued the platform back on the right way.

The tusks has the ends broken off so I drilled some holes and inserted some styrene rod to give my milliliter something to grip to.

A pair of dowels sanded to shape serve as the front supports on the saddle.

And unfortunately he is missing his trunk, so I get to practice my sculpting skills.
I drilled some holes where the trunk goes so I can insert some wire to make an armature.

      It’s the KRAKAPHANT

I’ll have to go look at some pictures at elephant trunks to see how long it should be.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions they are more than welcome!
That is all for now thanks for looking!

This is one of my armies that I use for Dragon Rampant. I call it my Mordor Army though it is not necessary accurate for Lord of the Rings.
My rank and file troops Games workshop Uruk hai serving as my orcs. I have a lot more but I don’t you all wanted see all of them!

Next of is a pair of Reaper bones mountain trolls fulfilling the role of the heavy hitters.

And last but by no means least is a Reaper minis Murkillor the Wraithking who serves as the Whitchking of Angmar.

If I get any more troops for this army I’ll be sure to post them here, and hopefully I’ll get a chance to post pictures of my other armies here soon!
Thankyou for looking! Comments, constructive criticism are welcome!

This one was actually painted by my sister. I wanted to share it with you since this is her second mini ever and I hoped some feedback would be useful to her
