Agreed, she looks fabulous.

The more techniques you pour into a model, and the more you care about each step, the longer and longer it takes.
Some people painting for high level competitions will spend 100-200 hours on a single piece when you consider conversion, basing, and painting.

I like your version of Seoni.  I'd pick her!

Wow! Really spectacular.

If I do a retrospective on my minis painting, it's been cyclical in terms of time spent per mini. When I started, I was all, "this goes here, then this goes there..." In other words, very deliberate. Then I started moving quickly as I grew accustomed to the basics. nce I started applying the "next level" techniques, I slowed waaaaay down. This kind of cycle has iterated several times, in keeping with my application of newly learned techniques.

Now, of course, I'm throwing off the theory simply because the techniques I'm focusing on have more to do with color and speed. I'm working on painting faster, so even though I'm using new techniques, I'm painting faster.

Of course, I get to paint less frequently, so it evens out on average.

Seoni really is amazing. The play of colors is lovely (I'll echo Corporea's inquiry about the blue).

Wow thanks guys. Yeah the discovering/practicing new techniques probably has a lot to do with the time.

The color is mostly Reapers seafoam blue mixed with a bit of teal. Reaper was nice enough to throw in the seafoam blue as a gift in my last order. For some reason I dont seem to see it in their store.

Ooh, you got one of the famed slightly off mixes they throw in as free samples. Sounds like you got a gorgeous one.
