Managed to sneakily grab someone's abandoned 160 EB. Tee hee hee.

Called the bus station to get me a rider card so I can go sell plasma so I might potentially upgrade to a Commander box.

There are sooooo many minis that I want.

Snagging those EB at lower levels isn't too hard, especially a people abandon them going UP.

Humm...Not as into this one as the previous KSer.

Im in for a Lieutenant and right now I don't have enough wants to fill it out--we'll see how that changes. Didn't go EB as it would have only saved me like $3, someone else probably needs that savings more then I do.

So far there's no concepts that scream "Must have" to me, but I'm sure that will change, but the most surprising thing is how bad the renders look compared to KS1. Like they're all only have done.

I actually wasn't all that excited about their last campaign and gave it a pass. This time they definitely have more things that interest me, but I'm not sure just how much I will wind up wanting. (I'm not much into 40K or Kingdom Death, so the more the slide in those directions the less I need to have.)

I locked in a Lieutenant pledge for now so I can keep track of what's on offer nearer to the end.

So far the Dark Elf sorceress with the familiar (or whatever) on her shoulder looks really cool to me, as do some of their mounted concepts. (Although I cannot figure out the geometry of the barding on the right-most mounted sister at all.)

I don't play 40K and I can see how much their sculpts are leaning into the army players field. Which is probably good planning for them since there are a ton of 40K gamers.

One of the first things I got to learn to paint was a box of daemonettes. My FLGS at the time was big into 40K. When i said I was looking to get into painting and needed something to practice on he immediately suggested them. He knew me all too well.

They were also how I learned if you read on the internet to soak plastic minis in break fluid to remove paint and you do it, you are a moron and your plastic minis will disintegrate.

The launch was at 5pm here so that was ideal - except that this is South Africa and we have wonderful things here like "load shedding"...which is basically a euphemism for "we haven't taken care of our power stations properly over the last decade so we have to turn off the power to certain districts on a rolling basis to ensure the whole grid doesn't come down". And of course, at 4pm today they brought our power down and it only came up again after 6pm so I missed the mad scramble for EBs that everyone enjoys so much.  :;):

I'm in for a third-tier Commander at the moment and I'll keep spamming F5 until I get in at $240 flat. Any savings on shipping is always a big thing given how high it usually is for me.

I'm mainly in this for the possibility of using the fantasy stuff in Warhammer Fantasy and given all the rumours of how they're scaling that down to more accessible skirmish-size games, this may be perfect.  ::D:
