The troops are actually the exact same in ....body positions but with slightly different sculpts. What they did is just combine them differently. IE there are 6 different sculpts for the 2 sets of troops. ABC is troop one scifi, DEF is troop two scifi, look at fantasy and you have BCE in fantasy and AFD in fantasy. @_@ 

 

Though the equivalents aren't posted, it gives you an idea of what they may look like when they are unlocked.

Ah, okay. Well, here is the drop box with some of the stretch goals next to each other that are comparable. If you feel some of the troops should be next to each other, let me know and I'll adjust.

I counted up the locked goals and I figure there's about $1040000 needed to unlock everything. (Waaaaay more than the first KS got) Seems they are unlocking more of the sci-fi stuff than the fantasy imo. Looks like some of the sets are stuff available in their store already, I'm hoping those are the last on the list for SG unlocks. If the things people want don't unlock there may be some last minute exodus's which may mess up the unlocked SGs. I'll be one of them.

Yeah, I just did a full.....thing of clipping pictures and prices of the things I must have and most of them are fantasy. There's two or three from Sci fi though that I adore.

This is currently on track to hit over 3.5m. I think tho that it'll hit around 2m at the end, which should unlock everything.

 

I was also spot on in my estimate for Blood Rage :P

Anything that's an existing sculpt should have a note that they'll be modifying it for the KS. But yes, they are fleshing out armies for existing factions in addition to the new factions.

 

I haven't made a final tally yet, right now it's split pretty well between fantasy and scifi for me. Looking forward to some clarification on a few things over the next couple days, like unlocking the same concept twice for fantasy/scifi, I'm hoping either they just need more art or they will ease up and only unlock it once if it's the same sculpt for both.

Coming back and looking at stuff I'm pretty disappointed in the Sisters, way to GW compared to their previous KS. I get the evil elves having skulls and dead bodies but does everyone need them?

 

Still not liking any of the renders. Absolutely no personality in any of them. They really should have started with the heroes\single units instead as those are what got me for KS1. All the units they're show so far are super boring and bland. Really not making me interested at all.

I agree. The style seems to be too much of a departure from everything that gave the first kickstarter its character. 

 

When I look at the art or the minis from the 1st project you can almost see the world they live in. I can't see that with these models. They're just creepy. Not that creepy is bad. They just don't match the vibe from the other project.

Must agree here. There's still enough left that I want, but the translation from artwork to actual minis isn't always that overwhelming imo; for instance the minis are far less slender than in the artwork.

I hope we'll get to see some more renders (and preferably even sprues so we can take a look at alternative pieces and conversion options) before the KS is over, so we can actually see what we pick.

Hmm... Comparing the artwork version of the fantasy sisters regular troops to the render version, I'm seeing a pretty significant loss of details.

 

I'll leave things as they are for now, but if too much stays artwork only I will have to lower my pledge.

 

Feeling rather disappointed after the excitement of yesterday.

That's not particularly reassuring.

 

So essentially, I'm pledging for minis that might vaguely resemble their concept art?

 

I'll see how things go, but I'm fairly certain my pledge isn't going to remain as high as it is.

I'm really kind of 'meh' on the project at the moment.  For me, the artwork is too "busy" to be able to really pick out the details.  I won't have time to really try picking it apart until this weekend.

 

I don't think this will get anywhere near 2 million, but I hope I'm wrong.  I think about half that is more likely.  Yes, I know we're already halfway there, but there was so much hype for this, and because of the early birds, that I think a lot of people jumped in immediately.  I wouldn't expect any more big surges until the last 48 hours.

 

But Ub3r...you were actually LOW on your Blood Rage prediction by about 20%.  :-)

I can see how people wouldn't be into the minis.

The last KS had a total Heavy Metal vibe, some of them looked just like Julie Strain (fantasy art model used by Bisley amongst others)
