I did a quick 'if the proportions stay too heroic, how many minis would still be worth it' scenario this morning. Turned out to be just about what I have pledged. So...choices need to be made. I guess too many great concepts is a good thing, it's like choosing between Mierce offerings. You just have to accept that some great stuff is going to stay on the table.

 

I liked the update, it's what I've come to expect from RH, just a nice direct addressing of what's going on.

 

I'm nowhere near what I spent on KD, which is far north of what MS dropped :/ I won't be doing that again, but I had saved six months in anticipation because that horror vibe resonates. Part of why this one will be tough, they're hitting a lot of my jam on it.

For those that have backed the first kickstarter, what can one expect from the troop boxes? Are command boxes the same as troop boxes except for the additional "musician, bearer, and champion"? Do they give enough items to replace bearer and musician if one may not care too much about those?

In the vestrals I bought last year they have 5 figs in the troop box and 5 figs in the command, the command are standard champion and muscian, can't really change that with those ones but it's possible these new ones will have optional arms where you can swap out the "command" and make them regular troops, best to send a message and ask though, I asked about optional stuff for the chariot and was told they would come only with the draahk and no horses, I was told I could use the horses from the vestral riders (if I buy them) so that makes GW's chariot the better buy imho, it comes with both options for the same price, so that's one I thing in this KS can pass on now.

I agree. I really like both freebies. If they had been part of the "you can buy them" offer, I'd have bought the Harpie Queen without hesitation and would have considered getting the "scout", too.

I wonder if Sister Reyallia's back-mounted portable cathedral is a separate piece?

I'd really dig the concept art if you could leave it off the model.

The Altar seems like an odd choice for an early or even mid campaign unlock....I'm curious how many of those they'll actually sell.
