So, I was on the fence on this one, the OTHER side and then SJ comes into the Figone book KS thread and starts chattering about how the book is going to be an add-on SG unlock soon. I blame him for totally pushing me over the fence. Thank you very much for enabling the Dark Lord of Enablers...

The Figopedia books looks great!  The Figure Art book looks like just a bunch of nice pictures.  Not there is anything wrong with that, but I can see great paint jobs on the Internet all over the place.  so the Figopedia book looks like a good buy if people here have seen it and think it is worth it?

I pledged for this Kickstarter a couple of days ago, and just upped it to include the Figopedia book, which looks pretty cool. And I must say, the shipping all the way to NZ is actually quite reasonable compared to a lot of things I would like to order.

The Figopedia book is SO much more than a bunch of pretty pictures.  It's an instructional book for light and color primarily.  The pictures are for illustrative purposes.  It is an excellent resource for anyone looking for ways to improve their painting skills.

Teetering. The figone book looks sweet.

I do like my Raphael 8404 but trying new brushes for new techniques wouldn't be bad either.

Ends at a bad time for me. I could try.... buying less coffee. Less coffee would also improve my painting.... :)

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking is a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

Coffee in the morning, good. More coffee at 10am, still good.

More coffee at 3 so you are are amped up when you get home from work... not so good for painting.

I would rather spend afternoon coffee money on painting stuff :)

I waffled and when I waffle I decide to hop off the bandwagon, just means I don't want/need something and shouldn't spend the money to acquire it. I have enough brushes and though I like that Figone book, I will wait on it as well. Sorry gang.

sorry to lose you Uber, maybe we can tempt you in the future!

I apologise for not updating more often, things are so chaotic (espcially trying to do this while looking after three young kids all day!

Anyway we are now over the £24k mark as we enter the final week.

We now have a total of 13 brushes  (the 8 core and 5 unlocked) and we have since added an extra reward so you can grab all 13 toether and save even more.

The books are proving very popular and I just want to clarify that we will be shipping them in boxes not envelopes!

We are coming up to the next unlock which is a fun little pack called the Black Hand Special, done in conjunction with Wamper Scott Hockley and will include a handy guide to using the included blending mediums (specifically flow improver, glaze medium and matt  medium) written by Scott.

We have also revealed a much asked for add-on mini! This was designed for the kickstarter and will be an add-on though we may offer it as a seperate pledge so you can grab it without the brushes (if you fancy the mini but not the brushes!)

Sculpting has started today so hope for some WIP shots soon but he will be 30mm scale and cast in resin

We thought it fit nicely with the kickstarter and was a little different. He will ship with both hand options so if you prefer his paintgun to the brush you can easily use that.

As ever huge thanks to all of you supporting our endeavour, it really is humbling.

HI guys,

just wanted to pop up a final update.

Things are going great (truley fantastic in fact!) and we are currently heading towards £35k and have passed the 4000% funding mark ::o:

We have the first WIP from the artist sculpt already and all the backer goals are unlocked. That means every backer (even if its £1) gets a free brush care PDF, free 2 brush blending guide AND a special kickstarter portal compilation featuring all the best painting tutorials from the no1 free mini painting magazine.

We are even adding extra pages to this  as we get more backers and if we hit £40k we will comission a sculpt designed by the KS backers.

The project ends tomorrow evening (Sat) so around 36 hours to go.

If you havent checked it out we would love you to take a look and maybe you might fancy jumping in on it.

I really cant thank you all enough for taking an interest in things, even if you dont like it you took the time to check it out which is great.

Thanks

Brett

This is the 22nd project my wife and I have worked side by side together on. Posted tbis on Facebook but first time adding our project to the forums. I hope you like our Interpretation of the KS  Mammoth not sure if the is a SKU for it. C&C more than welcome. Felt with it being a mammoth a more wintery theme should be more in keeping. Enjoy. Stay safe in these troubled times.

I know there are a few folks that do Bolt Action and similar 28mm wargaming (@buglips), so I thought I'd bounce this out there.

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tftb/world-war-ii-soviet-railroad?ref=discovery_recommendations

      Story
Railroads are an important means to transport troops, equipment, ammunition and all other kinds of supply to the front. Especially in a country as vast as the Soviet Union with it's endless steppes, only few reliable roads and no major rivers running in the direction of the German advance during Operation Barbarossa in World War II.
With this set of detailed buildings and rolling stock in 1/56 scale for 28mm figures you get the opportunity to recreate the crucial fighting around the Soviet railroad system.
The kits focus on the major pieces of rolling stock available to the Soviet defenders: box cars, gondola cars and flat cars. And the mighty ALCo RSD-1 Diesel Engine which was made available under the US Lend-Lease Act.
Also included is a typical rural train station with optional additional platforms for all who want to depict a Soviet - or captured German - supply depot, where heavy equipment like tanks and guns are being unloaded.
And for all of you looking for an armored train - don't worry! We have you covered.
        Talking about railroad tracks:
We did not see the need to reinvent the wheel, so all kits are designed to be used with
4Ground Railroad Tracks (available as add-ons to the Kickstarter) or O Gauge Model Railroad Tracks The kits include optional parts enabling you to choose your favorite system while assembling. Going this route has allowed us to concentrate on designing and producing the rolling stock only, which has the advantage of an earlier fulfillment date for the Kickstarter.
All models are highly detailed on the outside and inside. The interiors are easily accessible, as roofs are removable. In addition, all doors are moveable, which means you can open or close them during gameplay.

A Viking Girl sculpted by Bobby Jackson. She was a lot of fun to paint since she had a lot of canvas for freehand work. She is also my first serious effort at NMM, so that's a well I plan to return to.

I came to paint her when I asked my friends which model needed to get some love next. I presented a wizard, a ranger, and an armored lady fighter. One chimes in that she'd like to see the fighter (she being a practitioner of HEMA). Her boyfriend mentions something about boob armor. I said, no, she's got pretty normal armor. You want to see something egregious? THIS is egregious. My HEMA friend immediately says, "I'd like to change my vote." So here we are.

Here's the WIP thread for her. Here's my next piece.

This has sod all to do with miniatures, but I would be surprised if there were not people who might want one of these pins, for literally any reason at all.
I'll let the campaign speak for itself, as I usually do; it is pins. There are, as the title implies, representations for most of the common faiths, in a literal rainbow of ... well, Pride rainbows.

"You take your game seriously. Now it's time for a serious screen.
In October of 2018, Dog Might released the first fully sculpted GM Screen, the Valhalla Screen. Since then, we have released over 30 more designs, including officially licensed screens for: Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We have also designed screens for you favorite shows, such as Relics and Rarities and the Critical Role stream of Undeadwood. Over the last year and a half, our Valhalla Screens have proven to be our most sought after product. "

... Would it surprise anybody here to know I want one?
If I can't have one, at least I can spread the word. ;p
