I’m working on planning out my entry/display

will all of my pieces, regardless of category, be displayed together? For instance, if I bring 15-20 pieces, can I set up a display for them ahead of time where each piece is located in the display somewhere? Or will they be split up?

No, at least if things are done as in the past.

Each category is placed in a different part of the contest room, for convenience of the judges. You can make a display for all the entries within a single category (presumably as long as it doesn't take too much space), but not a display for multiple categories.

like Doug said, probably not. Every year has been the same with separate categories and entries sorted by last name on that specific table

So for Painters, your Painter entires would be somewhere on the table wherever your last name first letter is, but Diorama is on a different table, etc

So, if a piece wins a medal, it will be announced in the awards show aloud and the title and piece shown on the big screen. As this is a kid-friendly event, I'd take that in mind. I don't care as a judge, but those in charge might want to keep the awards ceremony PG13 at least.

Although I am a southerner, so the best I can mange is to bless someone out... ;)

This has not stopped people from titling their pieces things that Anne had to read out loud.

... probably won't, if we're all honest, but we might start leaning more to the horrible puns than the .. ahem.. colourful language. >.>

I'm bumping this thread up. We are now about 4 1/2 months away from ReaperCon and its time to start thinking about those entries. I have gone back and reviewed the thread and I don't see anything that is not relevant within it so bookmark it and come here first to see if your question has been answered.

Also don’t forget to read the category threads for more detailed information about those.

This may be a completely silly question.

If you entered something into the showcase for the virtual cons, you can enter them into the MSP Open, right?

We all know it's really not the same or as good to judge minis strictly on-line, so I'd think it'd be ok. But there is a rule about entering previous competitions.

Better to be safe than sorry and ask the silly question....

Thanks!
