Ax Factions new release in series 3, "The Hunted", the Minotaur!

Definitely a different take on the Minotaur with the less bovine face, but it still looks the part. Alternately, I could see one painted up as a devil of some sort... probably smashing my Pathfinder party to death. Probably going on my "get list".

Apologies in advance if this ruins it for anyone else, but I can't get past the way he's holding his axe.  Like, why is there a handle behind the head?  Is he supposed to punch people with it?  Is this a knock-off bat'leth?  Does he get his fingers caught when he tries to slide that hand down for a chop?

I know, I know.  This is stupid and nit-picky.  But that's literally the first thing I noticed about the figure, and I can't shake it at all.

Kind of like he's holding it like a Klingon Bat'leth. He could be swinging at something close to him which would require him to hold it differently to not have it arc out too far.

Axe-ually, lol, the whole general shape of his axe is kinda off for me... The face is a bit small, but the axe just looks goofy - it's got that Dark Sun-style "Hey, how cool am I? Oh, wait, am I supposed to actually be functional, too? Oops." thing happening, as though it was designed by someone who doesn't know how an axe functions. Given his size (80 mm) and the way he's holding it, I'm guessing he's supposed to be trying to swing the spiked end of the haft at something...

All good points on the axe. Maybe he's not in the act of swinging it. Maybe he's just extracted it. He looks like he's strong enough to embed that thing pretty far, and the axehead has got an convenient handle on the back of it for when he needs to pry in back out...maybe.
