Cake Topper Zombie Horde

Recommended Posts

So, I had quite a few different sets of cake toppers on my table at the same time, and we decided to take a group shot of them:

Naturally, we'll also need some couples to thin out the horde:

On that last one, I'm thinking someone took 'proficiency: Shovel.'

There's something wrong with this picture...

Oh, I realize what it is.  Neither girl appears to be looking down at the hordes that are climbing up their cake to shoot zombies!  :D

Awesome though, very awesome.

I thought you were going to say nobody notices the hamster-sized ninja. But then, nobody ever notices a hamster-sized ninja!

And he's probably sneaking up behind you right now...

One fun fact about this couple- I occasionally get brides who want to keep the dress a secret from their groom, so they send me pictures separately.  In those cases, I always send the topper to the bride, who keeps it hidden until the wedding.

In this case, both of their dresses were secret, so I sent it to a third party.  These two didn't see the topper until it was on the cake.

Oh, now this is a magnificently sinister sculpt (14137). Great for degenerate wizened necromancers in both the fantasy and pulp genres. That horribly hunched posture, bespeaking a life spent peering into books and graves. The horrible pinched face, dissolute yet censorious. The shovel and sack of scrolls. This guy is up to No Good, and probably not much Lawful or Neutral either.

(Sidebar: The keyword "Jos Gebblar" with an "A" will get you a Mercenary Mage of much younger aspect. Perhaps Jos forty years earlier in his career? Or perhaps just before being aged prematurely and preternaturally by some ghastly and vengeful spirit. Who can say.)

Presenting  D'Vandra Lukesia, the final member of my Dreadmere Begins quartet.

Despite having some trouble with her in the beginning, I'm pleased with the final results.
It's just a shame my bottle of Vallejo Still Water has failed me yet again, no more water effect bases for me I think.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

I met my wife at the game store at a weekly role playing game. I had just moved into town, and the first thing I did was check out the local comic shops- and the 'manager' invited me to game on Thursday. That group is still close, and we still play every Thursday (although a few players have moved away). Her wedding dress had dragons embroidered onto it.
It is reasons like these that I wish I had started making cake toppers before I got married. I'd have had quite a lot to work with.
Here's a couple that were a little like us- they met through gaming and had me match some of the gear and costumes of their characters.

My wife told me that it is her favorite of the toppers I've made.  I suppose she's not alone in that, since another couple requested one.
Here they are.  I'll probably need to make one to keep sometime, maybe for our anniversary (we decided that Cortana was a good enough name for our daughter, after all).
