I plan on taking a bit of time on this one. I already completed 2 of 4 minis for my goal for April 
I hope blocking the nipples makes this family friendly? I guessed as long as they were blocked it was ok since I gave her a digital bikini 
 
I'm still struggling with contrast. I feel like if I go too far it looks silly, but when I think it looks "ok" it photographs looking all one color.

I will most likely do the hair white to stay with the drow theme, she is ging to be very Lolth looking.

 

So can I link the boobie pics from my tumblr? I know not everyone has instagram which is also where my pics are. I just post wip pics to tumblr & instagram from one app, then come over here and post.

 

Just trying to figure this out since the next thing I post will probably be my RH blood vestals, and well nudity.

Since it's topical, I have a question about the nudity rule.  Does it still count as nudity if you paint a shirt (or seashells, or whatever) onto the miniature itself?  Do you have to have to sand the nipples off first?  Conversely, what if you paint a non nude miniature in a "wet t-shirt" style?

 

Or is it one of those things where if the production miniature has nudity, it's always considered nude regardless of what you do to it?

 

edit to add: Honestly, this is very unlikely to come up, at least for me, as I can't seem to take a decent picture of anything I've painted.  <_<

The general guidelines are that any visible frontal nudity is verboten. Stuff like you mention is a case by case thing, but in general if you aren't sure, just link it.

 

And Bathory, doesn't matter where you link your pics from, as long as it's not a retail or auction site :)

Instagram is a app that allows you to post pics and tag them. People do dumb stuff like post food. I post minis and follow some of my friends and other mini painters, band I like, stuff like that. Kinda like twitter but for photos. Another dumb social media thing, but it allows me to quickly post pics of my minis.

Food for thought.  Instagram owns all photos that are posted through them.

In other words they can do what they want with your work.
