If the cost was reasonable I'd pay. I've got so much freaking stuff that needs to be put together and painted that if I got this it would sit around for 3 years for me to get to it and spend the time myself.  I don't like having to spend time getting my tools ready for use.

Coming from someone who's already got one of theirs, put together time for a Full Monty is about 20-30 minutes, depending on how long the corner pieces take you to put together.  I didn't stain or paint mine though.

I was looking at your web store, and I noticed shipping is only to the US. Will you be adding international shipping options to the kickstarter?

THis looks really good! I wish i could go to ReaperCon to see it! But i WILL be watching your KS.

I will do my very best to source a shipping option. Shipping international is stupidly expensive from the US. Even to Canada. We do have some maple leaf customers though. I also am working with a good friend in Calgary to offer a regional distribution point to Canada. This should lower the price of shipping. We haven't finalized that plan yet, but we are working on it.

I'll just say that I have been looking at getting paint racks for a LONG time but have not for a few reasons.

1)  They are WAY too expensive to get shipped from outside the USA.  TGJ is finally a local shipping source of them to keep the costs down.

2)  Any USA made ones just were not good quality.  TGJ has solved this with the thought and materials they put into these it seems.

So I'm VERY happy to finally have a source.  And I do feel for backers outside the USA on shipping costs as I have been struggling with that for awhile.  It's too bad that shipping between the USA and Canada is so outrageous when we share a large border.

I would agree with this 100%. Dont get me wrong Massive voodoo's Paint Rack is nice but I am not to happy about international shipments

If you factor in the exchange rate the acrylic ones from Australia are about the cheapest to get even with shipping added. Though the do it yourself route turned cheap enough I couldn't justify ordering.

Much bigger than I expected, so it spills over onto my computer desk.  Also, I don't have a place at all for the corner pieces!

You need a new/bigger desk now, Lochar!  :ik_oops:

I'm irritated enough over elfhole furniture people as it is, waiting on a curio cabinet.  Why is it I can get almost immediate delivery and services from cheaper places like Ashley, but go somewhere nice and they dick around for weeks and months?

How sturdy are they? I can see my cat sitting on them (17ish pounds)

With no glue, I can put probably 10 or so pounds of weight on it.  Enough wood glue to make it solid rather than a touch shaky, I'd be more afraid of the cat knocking it off whatever table you put it on versus climbing on it.  It'll hold.

I also wonder if the KS will be "euro friendly" (not an extra ~$25 shipping), or indeed ship to Europe at all ..

Ugh, hate that too. These racks are looking awesome though and once they are done customizing mine and send them out, I'll post pictures and do a small review of the racks. As I said, I plan on staining them as well.

My painting area is in a spot where nothing could be knocked over, but it's by a window so he will climb on and sit on things he can't fit on that look uncomfortable :)

I like acrylic. I keep my extensive cosmetics collection in clear acrylic drawers. Makes it easy to see what is in them.
