Zombicide: Black Plague

Proportions, not scale. The zombicide line tends to be thinner, more like RBG. Reaper's stuff tends toward the more heroic proportions (scale gets misused when the word heroic comes out, usually).

And yeah, the sheer amount of Reaper minis across so many sculptors makes any statement about scale and proportion an over-generalization at best.

....Those swords, though...eh.

This^^^. Those minis are awesome, but the swords are atrocious.

I love the swords, the troll's is what originally sold me on the set of two.

Swapping the sword would be easy as long as it's with another two handed weapon as the hilt is big enough for a pin.

Zombicide has normally 32mm from feet to the eyes. I measured on straight standing survivor. Only a Zombie I measured had ~34mm from feet to the eyes.

>>Here<< is a nice scale picture with different minis. Under the first pictures it is explained which mini is from which company.

Wulfsburg isn't worth it.

The swords for this add-on are terrible. Why fight with bikinis, unless you are indoors and it's hot as hell?

High Fantasy means fireballs, demons and orcs. Not exaggerated muscles and weapons or sexy girls. Please stop buying this so manufactures can stop producing it.

Anyway, I;m certainly backing this project, the deal on minis is too good to pass.

A Bikini+5 protects as good as a chainmail. :-) Which survivors in the Wulfsburg expansion are wearing bikinis?

There is no reason why High Fantasy should not have sexy girls. Some Stories are easy to put in Low Fantasy and some in High Fantasy. But also very, if not even much more, often High Fantasy and Low/Heroic Fantasy get mixed. Many D&D Stories have many aspects of both.

Oh, I am talking out-right scale... to bad I don't have my minis with me but I have some Reapers that are more like true 28mm, and others that are easily 35mm to eyes. So... well, they are in the ballpark. As are Zombicide minis

Sorry, my sentence had a double meaning, I was referring to the Paolo Parente Add-on. Nice point on the +5 bikini, haha.

Don't get me wrong, I love miniatures like the Strumpet, Succubus and some other sexy girls. But in general, I don't think women fighters ever used bikinis in a battle. So unless it fits the story, I think it's just something that makes no sense at all. But I am a bit strict with this kind of stufff... I don't like weapons and armor that are unrealistic, I prefer medieval fantasy with verisimilitude, like lord of the rings or a song of ice and fire.

Individuals with specific sensibilities should never get to tell manufacturers what they can or cannot make. Some gamers have a different opinion about fantasy dress codes and their interests are just as valid as yours. I have a very similar opinion to yours about this, but I would also hate to live in a world of political correctness. I LOVE well clothed minis... so I buy a ton of them. People who prefer scantily clad figures should have lots of them available too. Large games like this one have plenty of room for both.

I think most (all) the female minis in the core game and the stretch goals are very decently dressed. I think it's great to have such a box as an optional paid add-on. If you like such miniatures, get the box. If you don't like them, just skip the box.

Everybody is allowed his or her opinion on this ... me personally, I like such miniatures as I'm painting enough solid chainmail and plate torsos already ;)

It's fantasy after all ... and many warriors in ancient (even early medieval) times fought naked, without the protection of armor to prove their courage.

Curious though that you never see 100% naked male miniatures, or with their bums sticking out of their pants .. ^_^

In fantasy, not many but I've seen a few, one company that specialises in Dwarves and Goblins springs to mind,.

In historical. One of the largest UK manufacturers produces enough to field a small force of Greeks, Picts or Africans without a shred of deceny between them.
