Reminder.  This Saturday is our monthly meetup at Total Escape Games.  We start 10:30 and go to about 4:00 PM.  I hope to see you there.

Update for February 17th meetup.  Total Escape Games is full for two tournaments, and the following Saturday is the same.  So we are going to move it either to Hobbytown on 88th (I think) where we have met before or Funtastic.  More to come when we know more.

I do not understand how or why Total Escape keeps booking events right over the top of CMPA. I'm surprised that they are having two tournaments there on Saturday since Genghis Con is this weekend. Not that it carries that much weight as a convention anymore.

I am betting it is because we don't bring in enough money.  Now if we gave them money per head that came in, they'd probably hold our spot.

Depends on what they are.  A lot of the Magic tournaments are sealed deck things where you have to buy the deck that day, although the entry fees usually covers that.  40k & WarmaHordes tournaments, they probably sell a few more units to people.

 

I will actually BE a GenghisCon helping a friend run the Warlord booth for Friday & Saturday, so I won't be at this months gathering, wherever it may end up.  Hopefully I will a0 finish my bust & b) be able to make it to the March gathering!

Similarly, I'm planning on dropping by for GenghisCon on Saturday, if my wife is up to watching the little one.  I've not been in a good spot for painting in a while. :(
